The city of Sparta is under siege by the Army of Athens. Will the ancient Greek Spartan Phalanx shield walls be able to defend against the onslaught of Athenian soldiers? This was made using the Total War Rome 2 Ancient Greece Culture Pack Battle Simulator Custom Battle.

Dude hell yes! I'm in an ancient Greece and Rome class and I just wrote a paper about the Peloponnesian War! The Athenians definitely knew not to outright challenge Spartan infantry haha! I love this era good video Daley!!

I love this spartan mod can you do king leonidas and his 300 hoplites versus 1200 Persians but the hoplites have more health to make it last longer and of course better trained

As a Total War Veteran, can I only recommend playing this game with other players. The AI is not the best and because of that, it is better to just go play some multiplayer. The biggest Problem is that many just want to defend, because they think its easier or they're better suited in it, but actually you need to do both so don't forget to play the game in every way you can, to learn and find things that aren't good for your tactics. Don't just put pikes between two building and wait for the dumb AI to rush in. Good Video, hope you bring more!

Hey man, nice video. I really like Star Wars, but the game I love the most in strategie is Rome 2. Please keep playing this game with Sparta. Maybe you could start a kampagne that would be so cool with your commentary.

Tip 1: Never put pikes first Tip 2: if pikes are first, NEVER charge into them Tip 3: Always target pikes with archers Tip 4: Send cavalry to the flanks Tip 5: With Sparta, pick tight areas to defend. Tip 6: Never fire into heavily armored infantry with shields from archers, you are wasting your ammo Tip 7: Send cav to archers, never send them to spearmen Tip 8: Don't blob up your troops Tip 9: Listen to the tips I know this was AI, but some tips for everyone. Also, there are many other tips, but I don't want this to be too long.

@@billvilmezis5968 Well, for that, I would suggest only doing that with Cretan Archers or any archers that have Precision Shot, as heavy shot decreases accuracy. In that case, I would still save them for the pikemen. If the faction doesn't have any pikemen, fire on heavy infantry. So, yeah.
