I've seen them, and they're nicely done, just not really my thing. I've already covered Landsknechte as well - Ogres just have bigger, puffier sleeves. ;D
The mini looks insanely good. And the paintjob is the right amount of dirty, industrial dieselpunk to fit into most scifi games. I'm in love with the green-grey result.
Yeah, I've been trying to get this one done for almost a week but I picked up a pretty gnarly cough. I couldn't let it wait any longer but no great surprise it's still audible. 😅
wait, German Camo Black Brow, is that the color that used to be called SS Camo Black Brown?? Been trying to remember what that color was called and couldn't really find it at my local store, no one there seemed to have heard of it even. Is this what they renamed it to?
I couldn't tell you, to be fair. I've had it for years and it's always been German Camo Black Brown that I've seen, which fits the naming convention of all the other 'German Camo' bottles in the range.
@@SonicSledgehammerStudio might give it a go and see if it turns out sort of the same, been really wanting a similar tone. either i misremember the name or they renamed it due to the SS part, no massive deal anyways :)
Glad you are feeling better, like what you did with the mini. This miniature has a 40k/ starwars rebel feel to it that I really like hopefully I can get some.🙏😇🇺🇸
Another great mini, it could pass for a sci-fi "3rd world" soldier, of a planet that has not so advanced tech, but can field some decent forces, naturally if they don't go against the bigger fish! (Ecept for the puttees, a little too out for a modern army)
The look of them sets them really nicely against the Solaryn Dragoons that're already out, I think. These guys aren't necessarily intended as bad guys, but a bunch of rangy, undersupplied rebel types in tattered gas capes and puttees pitted against the well-drilled and broad-shouldered dragoons? They look good set against one another. :D
They're the same height but very slightly thinner, which makes sense when you compare the amount of gear they're wearing and carrying. They fit alongside quite well as 'light infantry' in comparison to the Cadian miniatures.
This is why l enjoy your video's, the subject variety is brilliant. They always inspire me to try different things. Even my wife (who doesn't understand "this painting tiny toy things") enjoys watching them. Cant wait for the next instalment !
Outstanding work Troy! He looks like a real soldier with a uniform that has a muted and worn look to it.Thanks for sharing this and I am glad to see you are feeling better.
There's licensed sellers for QM3D's stuff, too. Best thing is to check out the Facebook page, I think they're listed there? Or at least it's the place to ask, I've already seen conversations with printers looking forward to getting these sets out for sale.
Glad that you're back and feeling better! These are so tempting.. I haven't even gotten to my Solaryn Dragoons yet. Still gotta repair all those STL files and it takes forever on my current PC. Also a suggestion for my fellow US residents, Createx 4052 Matte clear dries super flat. It's the only thing I've found Createx makes that doesn't otherwise suck.
