In a world that pushes conformity, introverts face a unique struggle-balancing personal space with the relentless pressure to socialize. Drawing inspiration from thinkers like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Carl Jung, this video explores how introverts navigate the societal expectations of socialization, the importance of self-reliance, and why rejecting certain social norms is not only natural but necessary. Join us as we delve into the psychology behind introversion, the shadow within, and how finding happiness doesn't always mean following the crowd.

When you used to be by yourself, so good in observing and analysing people and situations, you learned to be in control of your own life and I think that was the best of it, of being an introvert. And u only allow those who find is real and genuine. You tend to make a good relationship with yourself and with others. Being an Introvert tends to sounds like a sad thing but it's not.

Once you fall in love with solitude, you understand the importance of being alone. Even Extroverted people should have a moment of alone time. Introverted people are into genuine relationship. They give their all and they don't want it to be given to some random people who cannot offer the same.

We are all actors, set on the stage of the world - Shakespeare Well like we wear clothes according to occasions ( in office, home ,gym swimming different outfits) similarly we should act differently in different situations ( when socialising).. let's not be so narcissist that we will not change ourselves to fit into this world and call it courage... Rather connect with the world through socialising. And not isolate ourselves and make our own world in our mind ( delusional and narcissistic world in our mind where only my ideas exist). Thank you❤

thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. it's understandable that you would see it that way, i guess you missed my point which was simply; if the purpose of social gathering like parties is to have fun, what's the point of going there if you know you're not gonna have some fun because. socializing is crucial that goes without mentioning.

it's true, socializing is crucial. but it's tough for some people ! so just be yourself right ? . it's often easy and the answer is right in front of us

You say a lot in a short time, a lot like Nietzsche's aphorisms! While I agree non-conformity can be good, I think most introverts problem (including myself) is that they don't realize socialization is a skill like any other, and that you only reap from it what you sew. Reading helps, because books are basically flight simulations for life (and the "training weights of the mind" as Epictetus put it), but what books I should read to help me was a struggle. I eventually found Meditations and Seneca's letters, and I believe everyone, especially introverts, should read them since they are so foundational and give the big picture. Which introverts try to avoid since they love their own corner of reality

yup !. am going through the same stuff it's true that socializing is crucial and yeah it should be a skill to learn, reluctant to do it ... but am trying i guess. i will check those books you suggested thank you :). but i will still stand by my argument that if the whole point of social gatherings like parties is to have fun, then as an introvert i have no business being there lol..although i regret being called a narcissist for it. and WOW ! you are very astute to observe that i have adopted nietzsche's style as a template, well i can never be as good....

@@BrainBoostPsychology-os1cd I am not a party goer myself, so can't disagree there. But I think we should find a way to take part in the festival of life in some fashion For meditations, I recommend Gregory Hays translation. And seneca has a LOT of letters so I want to point out what I think are the top 10: 1, 92, 41, 4, 12, 16, 53, 65, 90, 107. I think a deep, introspective thinker such as yourself will find much practical wisdom in these

You made the rookie mistake of confusing introversion with social anxiety.

thanks for watching and thanks for the feedback. it's true. even extroverts can suffer from social anxiety, it's not necessarily for introverts but highly likely and commonly known for an introvert to suffer from it. besides it was just a humorous intro am sure you got that !. thanks again !

@@BrainBoostPsychology-os1cd your way of putting thoughts into words felt like how I usually express thoughts in general, At least now I know there are people similar to me, maybe I'm not an Alien afterall, I'm an INTP as well, and well do you often find yourself liking smart people and fictional characters? In my case I think I'm obsessed with intelligence.

@@emptyboy7553 yeah i am oftend drawn to such charachters. INTP's are rare according to statistics. no wonder you feel alienated. thanks a again.

No need to be thankful, actually I'm grateful that I can still find people like you, I have this strange thought that one day all such people who are considered good and genuinely want to thrive not alone but collectively with all of humanity will be extinct then the world will only consist of selfish benefits seeking people who will hinder the growth of humans as a whole.
