Good to see a direct comparison in a real world test - I've got a pair of Simond gloves that are very good (I don't wear them often as they're too warm!), and I'd have no issue buying other stuff from Decathlon (despite being a bit of a label snob, although I try my hardest not to be).
Do you use much mountain equipment gear? Its often on sale and i have some additional scouting discounts i could get on top of that, but even on sale its expensive. And, I dont know how good it really is compared to the bigger names
I wonder if it's a good idea to buy one of those jackets in the first place. Seems like a hybrid that's not good at anything. Seems like a Down jacket/ fleece hoody combo would do most of the work this jacket provides.
@@mantis1966 that decathlon jacket is neither waterproof nor windproof. So a "down" jacket with synthetic filling would do a better job if money is concerned in my opinion.
