Just bought and it also has other fabulous uses. I have been on restasis for years! Guess what it has in it??? Castor oil, even the most expensive systene drops and many others. And it stings like!! For a moment. Use very clean hands and put a tiny amount on each corner of eye!

It is known to pull out acid, that’s likely what was inflaming your eye (the removed waste), so I’d say it’s working although that must’ve felt extremely uncomfortable. 😳

So, how do you use it...drop it straight onto the eyeballs?

I tried this but it's very thick and nearly impossible to aim correctly. If you manage to do it your eye will also start stinging and you will have blurry vision. After further research I learned you're NOT supposed to take castor oil off the shelf and drop it into your eye. First, it's not sterile and can cause an eye infection . Second, eye drops with castor oil are always diluted down to around 2%. 100% castor oil is way too thick and will cause your vision to get blurry. I did find that it helped with dry eye the next day if I used it at night though. The best method is probably to WASH YOUR HANDS and then put it around the corners of your eyes (inner and outer, left and right) right before you go to bed. Be warned that it's not sterile and you could be risking an eye infection.
