Fun fact: the reason why the city wasn’t destroyed but the people were killed is because they used a Neutron bomb, spreading radioactive particles but little explosive energy
@@ShawnJonesHellion Considering the versatile, most practical sense of the term, 'intelligence', computers aren't nearly as smart as humans...yet. I don't even think DeepMind's AlphaGo can even continue play when one of its nodes goes down. Try having a conversation with Eugene Goostman, the first chatbot to actually pass a Turing test. You'll see that it's pretty limited.
This was after the golden age, but hey, whinge about how the Simpsons isn't good anymore on literally any clip whatsoever and SEE THE LIKES COME ROLLING IN 🤣
For those who are interested, this sketch is based off a film in the 1970s called "The Omega Man." Instead of a nuclear blast, the disaster is a virus which mutates those who survive into albino mutants opposed to technology of any kind. Charleston Heston has the starring role. Excellent movie!
Judging by the montage of Homer running amok in the damaged city, dancing in church, looting stores, watching a whole movie, it must've been at least a full day. Still pretty fast for them to turn into a mutant cult
i'ts a design that started from an old cartoon called WACKY RACES and there was a monster car with the drivers called THE GRUESOME TWOSOME there were some cartoons after that where the design evolved into small wheels at the front and large at the back to give it that Low front end , High back end look
@@RossMitchellsProfile yea man I played the crap out of hit and run on the GameCube. I enjoyed it a lot, but others didn't so much. that last racing mission was pretty brutal when I first played it. It was one of those cars you find but couldn't keep right? like the rocket car
@@jl-fy3zj never was into Seinfeld, but I love this quote and it’s so true of many old skool shows. Some knew when to pull the cord, some thought they could keep milking it. 🤦🏾♂️
It's not that it's bad it just has to adapt to a younger audience. So the stuff you are watching you just can't relate to anymore. That's life, things change, you get old and it's the kids fault you are out of touch.
You left out the funniest part of this episode, when Herman shows Homer the bunker and says: "And this is the withstandinator, he holds up a 5 megaton explosion, not more and not less!" 🤣🤣🤣
It's a Chinese RU-vid channel. They rarely get comedy. Try watching Red Dwarf edited for Chinese Television and you'll find they cut all the jokes but kept the laugh tracks after the jokes so the viewer doesn't even know what the simulated audience are laughing at!
I think the first episode I ever fully watched was the Itchy and Scratchy Episode from the seventh season where Bart and Lisa help the proper crater get the credit he deserves. Such an interesting episode.
The gag is at first the memory is deep and sincere (cliched bit of little son playing baseball, with the haunting crack of a bat sound), but then gets ridiculous and they just keep doing a COPY/PASTE of applying that SAME memory to ALL his family members, including his adult wife! I love the "...And the rest", in which he lumps the cat, dog, TV and baby into a big pile, like they're all on the same level of importance haha! Have to say, season 9 (this episode!) was the last good Treehouse of Horror.
@@gw5309 If Putin is going to nuke us because somebody said he's a sad little man who is so distasteful I wouldn't eat him in a famine, that's kind of on him.
That was just the average Jewish joke mocking Christ, nothing new here. Cliche and cringe imo. For the most part the video is funny as, this part is an exception.
@@zombiechcken wouldn’t need to be the size of the earth lol. Look at how big of an explosion some smaller bombs cause. One maybe even 1/128th of the earth can destroy it
5G could blast a lot because it's installed literally everywhere. With the chemtrail metals and GMO's in us all...be like sticking metal in a microwave.
It was a dirty bomb look it up. Also Homer was in the bomb shelter for hours or maybe even days, since it's implied he ate all the stocked rations and was fixated on the calender.
The Halloween horror specials are the best imo. I have the anthology of early ones used to watch them with my daughters. Favorite one is the shining parody. “No beer and no tv, make homer go something something.” Lisa “go crazy?” Homer “don’t mind if I do,🤪.”
Just little touches like when Homer is missing is family, Bart and Lisa manage to hit the baseball, but Marge swings and misses, and you just get that from the sound alone, is just mwwwaaah chef's kiss. It's why classic simpsons was so good, there was just constant jokes, multiple ones in every sentence sometimes, and so you could rewatch them endlessly and find new ones
And the layers of polluted air saved us from that giant meteor. And that mountain of solid waste broke our fall after we drove off a cliff. And Bill Clinton changed the result of that battle of the glee clubs. And....
What frighting thought that Homer is alive and well in Springfield. Homer singing War is funny as hell and that it is a parody of The Omega Man is just brilliant. I wish The Simpson today in just as funny when this episode aired.
