Seeing these always makes me want to see a retro live action version of these. Just because the old costumes and effects look way cooler and are so detailed compared to most cgi today, that just looks too crisp and smooth and unreal.
AI generated art is no doubt intriguing. But I do wonder what will happen when bots just start creating stuff without our input. We've gone from drawing cartoons to 3d animation to now AI gen art and soon movies that eventually will be adopted. Just makes me wonder either how some artist will be able to keep up or if the purity of their form will be like cream and rise to the top.
As an artist, I can only pray our craft stays relevant. Though there is no doubt in my mind that things like commissions and marketing will be dominated by AI within the next year or two. I just hope that it stops at that, but that Seinfeld AI show doesn't fill me with a lot of hope. Chances are it'll overtake that market in five or so years. But I'm certain people who really appreciate the craft for the human aspect will stick with the old ways.
Zak Galifinakis as Willie. The look is right. Any sort of Jim Varney look, ... being able to hide himself with any costume and pull it off nicely. The guy who played the janitor on Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. John C. McGinley. John C. Riley.
The Simpsons WERE an 80s sitcom. First they were little skits on the Tracy Ullman show on Fox in the Late 80s, then they came out with an hour long Christmas Special "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire" where they get Santa's Little Helper in 1980-1990 Or so (I remember the Title Clearly because it was at my height-eye level at the video rental store at The Price Mart lol) and then they got their first series order in the 1990 so not technically 'the 80s' but close. Very Very Close lol
Doesn't the version of Homer you made look like a schmuck for an hour? But Ned, and Seymour, on the contrary, turned out well. But Krusty looks like either the Joker, or a variant of an unknown poor fellow weirdo.
Barney Rogen: Seth Gumble. Barney Galifinakis: Zak Gumble. Ethan Gumble: Barney Suplee. Will Gumble: Barney Sasso. Gary Gumble: Barney Cole. Will Gumble: Barney Ferrell. David Gumble: Barney Koechner. Kevin or Dwight from the Office: Barney. John C. Gumble: Barney Reilehe. Bad good ideas or Good bad ideas: Artie Lange / Darrel Hammond / Eric Wareheim / David Harbor / Brett Gelman. You may have to put "Barney Gumble"'s name and the actor's name together to know which actor each person happens to be.
Milhouse... milhouse... Ministry from boy meets world.. Squintz from the sandlot. Phifer from wonder years, but way too old at the time. Josh Hutcherson [back then] Rupert Grint [back then] Lewis Skolnick's too old, and a fictional character, but somebody with that look. The look of Michael Douglas when he did that Falling Up. So many people from movies, but nobody in current kid fame really comes to mind. Who would you like to see as milhouse?
Skinner would have to be Shearer, but taller. A tall, greyish-haired, laugher, nostalgic, hopeful, accepting, self-depracating, optimistic, ... Almost like Ed O'Niel, but with more hair. Eric Stonestreet: Not quite. John C. McGinley would be cool.
Although, except for the children, the voice cast could play their roles in live action. Especially Dan, Julia, Hank, Harry, and um... um... the new Apu & the new Dr. Hibbert.
Bart could be a young Beavis. THAT WOULD BE PRETTY FLIPPING COOL. Sorry, had the little arrow pressed. Mixture of Kiefer, the two Corey's. Lisa, do you prefer Feldman or Haim? Why do you ask me this question? Some publication you may have possessed during the early years of this series ... Hmm? Of... of events. None of the three Simpsons are Boudelaire siblings, sir, and our events do not really happen to be specifically unfortunate, either. What? Series of unfortunate events? Huh? Lemony Snicket? Lemon who? A famous book franchise? Not ringing a bell. They had 13 entries within the franchise there. Not coming to mind. A Bad beginning? Simpsons had a bad beginning? That was the name of the first title of the franchise. "A big series of Simpson Events: An unfortunately bad sequence"? No, error, the name of the franchise was "A series of unfortunate events", the book franchise happened to be written by a book-writer who went under the pen-name and author name Lemony Snicket. He wrote in a way that RL Stine, Roald Dahl. AA Milne, and maybe Terry Pratchett, and Douglas Adam's, and Neil Gaiman wrote, the way they cleverly talked to the reader, ... The real writer of this franchise never revealed his name in the book franchise, or at least I don't think he did. Anyway, the first three books in the franchise became a movie starring Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep, Billy Connely, and maybe Emma Thompson? Jim Carrey played the role of three different guys who may or may not have been the same guy, but one of them didn't really seem like a bad guy. The movie was another highlight of Carrey's commitment to character work, luckily (this time) without taking the character into real filming (like he did with famous real-life entertainer Mr. Andy Kaufman). The movie was meant to be the start of a film franchise, but did not perform well enough to get its own movie series. However, years later (more than 10 and maybe close to 15 or more), Netflix tried to bring cinematic life back into the franchise, ... only within a streamed series, and this time with less budget, while choosing Doogie "Niel Patrick Harris" Howser to play Count Olaf, the lead bad guy, ... which was originally played by Jim Carrey, in a role that, if the book came out in the 80s and the movie came out in the 90s, could have been portrayed by Christopher "Emmet Brown" / "Judge Doom" / "Uncle Fester" Lloyd. Oh, that franchise. Right. Do you remember when you used to read a teen magazine about guys named Corey? Wasn't that back in the early 1990s? How do you remember something like that? Yes, and I don't know. Well, yes, I do remember reading the magazine about Coreys. At the time, there were only 2 famous Coreys, Haim & Feldman. What about Tim Corey? That's Curry. What about Corey Matthew's? Fictional, and he wasn't even a character on TV then, not for a few years, at least. Corey Hart. The name sounds quite familiar but any specifics don't seem to really come. This was an odd scene. High-functioning autism plus random thoughts plus night. Makes sense. To answer your question, Feldman. Why. Goonies, Gremlins, and still alive. Yeah, but, they had 30 years and never made a freaking sequel to the goonies. A cameo in Gremlins two would have also been neat. How about the lost boys? Never watched it. Really, that's more Feldman... Don't like vamps. Right, right. Still Looking forward to renfield, since the movie looks cool. What about... Four words... Nicolas Cage as Dracula. Dang right. How many NC films have you seen? Con Air, Raising Arizona, Face Off, Family Man, Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Trapped In Paradise, Kick Ass, Bringing Up The Dead, Ghost Rider, and Adaptation. Ten. Not bad. Want to see NT [maybe both], and Vampire's Kiss. Any suggestions? Valley Girl. ...Muriel's Wedding, although that may have been Jim Carrey, or both? Were they ever in a movie together? Not sure. Okay, thanks. Was this whole thing just a way to get people to know about "Series Of Unfortunate Events", a random piece of Simpsons history, Some Nicolas Cage films, Renfield, Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, and Jim Carrey, along with Christopher Lloyd, Andy Kaufman, Neil Patrick Harris, and Netflix? Nope, these were just random things which happened to pop right in my head as I typed here. All righty, then. That was on purpose, come on! Affirmatives! Right! Exactly! True! Well, thanks for talking to me, although we have gone back and forth nearly to the point where not even the typer remembers which of us happens to be responding at this moment. Thanks, Marshall or Lisa. Well, um, then, gosh, so you are welcome either Lisa Simpson or Marshall McDowell. Hopefully readers actually made all a way to the end of this reply. For those of you who really did, and did not groan, moan, complain, whine, or shout, ... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PATIENCE, DEDICATION, FOCUS, DRIVE, AND TIME!
Moe is hard. Pacino, Pesci, Brooks is way too old, Crystal's too nice. Larry couldn't do it. Bill Fagerbake is too big. Clancy Brown is too old. Roger Bumoass, or whoever does Squidward, would be good, especially if you've seen what he looks like. Who would make a good Moe?
Some rather impractical casting choices here: Could also see Joe Gatto playing Moe, Jasper, Hans, or Lenny, Sal Vulcano or Brian Quinn playing either Snake, Barney, Lenny, Clancy, Willie, or Chalmers, and Murr playing Lenny, Jasper, or Moe. Gary Oldman as Ned Flanders. He can play anybody and he looks perfect for the character. Timothy Olyphant would be Snake, or Moe, or Lenny. Christoph Waltz as ... Frink? Slater as Snake? Arnold as Rainier. Eh action stats as characters. Sly as wiggum. Ricky 4 guy as willie. Bruce as abe or chaumers. Statham as Jasper. Snipes as Hibbert.
Все персонажи реально в духе Симпсонов. Кроме главного героя Гомера, вот он вообще не похож, как можно было на роль Гомера такого толстяка подобрать???
Everyone looks sad and seedy, with an air of trailer park trash about them. Not a sitcom I would want to see. Flanders and Mr. Burns are the only two that look like their character.
