I came across your TAS thanks to Liquid WiFi, it was amazing to see him react to your amazing TAS run of this classic game. Some of the tricks done were incredible like the boosts used throughout the run. Also, the fast armoured truck kill in Kwik Cash and the out of bounds trick in Duff for Me, Duff for You blew my mind. I am also glad to have Liquid describe how some of these said tricks worked, it was really interesting to learn about. I am so happy to have discovered this amazing tool assisted speedrun of this childhood classic.
The 6-4 out of bounds is the trick everyone talks about and god it was satisfying to get that. My 2nd favourite is probably the Smithers Strat. Even as the creator, liquids commentary and input was incredible and entertaining
@@neonicplays I never knew the out of bounds for 6-4 even existed until I saw your TAS. You're right, Liquid's input and commentary was incredible and very insightful about how the game works.
@@ArtisticSquid203 it’s never been done in runs before coz the waterfall just ruins you, I only found out coz another community member had a playlist of tas Strats 😂
@@neonicplays I can imagine. I bet other TAS only tricks are simply fascinating to know about. That's the beauty of these sort of runs, it pushes the game to its absolute limits.
Would love to see this commentated by yourself and possibly other community members that would understand the tech. So we can get some explanations as to why things are happening, why certain routes were faster, fun behind-the-scenes stories from its creation... etc. The DK64 and Pokemon commentated TAS videos are so fun to watch, this is where I get the idea haha.
Thank you so much. If you think this is amazing watch this space becauee over the next year I will be planning and developing the perfect shar tas. It will use every single timesave the community has ever found, the coin route will be perfect, and I hope to significantly beat liquid despite the limitations of console
@@neonicplays As you feel. In any case, if you still want to submit it to TASvideo and share possible improvements, don't hesitate. Chances are it will be published. In any case, continue with your future projects. Keep it up
What would the time have been on PC loads? I know it's slower cause of GameCube loads but I'm curious if you know. BFBB's TAS was like that too. It was a 39 because of GameCube loads but would have been a 32 on HDD loads.
@@glitchedblood I’m confused, pc loads can’t be slower than 0 loads. This run simply wasn’t a 1:16. The coin route loses time. If you mean a run performed with these strats and precision on 180 then maybe but then you’re extrapolating driving and other things I didn’t do. This run simply is not a 1:16 with this gameplay. Maybe a low 1:19 accounting for ESS
@@ogkingmik7351 been hearing this a lot lately, I’m probably gonna start putting together a route in the next few days. Hopefully I’ll have a complete hundo tas by the end of October
Hard is the wrong word. TASing is just playing the game at low speed, being able to do things over and over again and then adjust the inputs. It’s not hard to create a TAS, but creating a good TAS requires a deep understanding of the game at hand I use bizhawk for my GameCube TASes (this one)
