yep, 2021 and playing it all the time. I have 6 neighborhoods all with Downtowns, vacation spots and Universities , I play each neighborhood like a monopoly board, I change household every 7 in game days, its like a reality TV show lol
as a kid and teen i was ALWAYS reading the manuals before playing the game, it got me hyped up in a way no other game does even today!! i swear i read this manual like 10 times
Kinqmar to me Sims 2 even though it was cartoony and funny actually reflected on life more than the SIms 3 and definitely more than the sims 4. it's the best Sims game and you can tell that they actually put love and effort into it. the Sims 3 is ok and the graphics are amazing but it doesnt beat the Sims 2 as for the Sims 4 you can tell there was no love put into it only money. the SIms 4 is basically Stuff Packs, there's more Stuff Packs than expansion packs and all the Stuff Packs arent unique they could had been features in a Expansion pack like the Vampires. the Vampires could had been in City Living just how they were in the Sims 2 Night Life and the SIms 3 Late Night. The Sims in Sims 2 are unique and different. they show their emotions especially towards Sims like when two Sims are mad at each other, instead of arguing a minute later then talking like buddies they'll continue arguing, and even start fighting every time they see each other. the Sims in Sims 3 would fight then talk like nothing happened most of the time and in the Sims 4 they'll do the same thing as they do in the Sims 3.
I played these Sims 2 games all my childhood. Now Im almost 21 and I still think this is the best video game ever! and now I am looking how to intall it on windows 8 haha
It's weird cuz I don't really prefer the Sims 2 over 3 but I've got to admit, why did the Sims 3 Seasons not have juice! I loved that little quirkiness how you could pick some apples and make some delicious apple juice... Who agrees?
The best EP for the Sims 2, period. Everything was so well thought, so flawlessly integrated, so easy to understand and to enjoy. Playing in the snow was awesome, Romance in spring was awesome, the rain and thunder were awesome, enjoying summer was awesome, fishing and harvesting apples and jumping in the leaves in fall was awesome. The Sims 3 Seasons EP paled so much in comparison. Yet again, I never was able to fully enjoy the Sims 3... this must have been the most poorly optimized game I ever played. I really hope EA/Maxis will take a look back at this one when they'll work on the TS4 season EP, because there was something magical in how well it was made.
I ALWAYS wanted this expansion. But I was so little and without a pc. It was like, a DREAM just watching this trailer and see what you were able yo do :(
@@_Promised_Not only that, but the Sims 4 is just a shadow of it’s predecessors … EA milking the game and giving us a product that’s full of bugs and glitches, something that half works and the saddest part is that there is no real alternative to the Sims (yet) …
I recently got the sims 2 ultimate edition and I'm watching all the trailers to see what's included in the game! I've only played sims 3 and a little lil bit of the sims 4. May I say I'm far beyond impressed with this game a true blessing and I can already tell they put sooooo much effort compared to the other games.
Well, it's 2019. And though I bought The Sims 2 back when it was new, I never spent any time with it until a few months ago. Then, I decided to buy the Seasons EP.
+dahiJ Aw, yes. I have a large family in the Sims 2 (two parents, five kids) and when the dad cooks the family will all go to the table, eat, and talk. (about their days, I presume.)
@@luisa-5044 if you want, I can help you. I have a video where link are with all expansions from The Sims 2 (ultimate collection). I have it in windows 11
As a player of all three games, I can understand where you say that sims 2 is best. And I agree completely. I do not play sims 3 anymore as of recently. I do however continue to play sims 2. It is okay to have your opinion and share it as I did so. But please do not hate. Maxis worked very hard. When I have the Sims 4, I'll hope that it is better than sims 3. But really, I won't hate it if it isn't.
If EA didn't exist then the Sims wouldn't exist. Also the Sims 2 WASN'T perfect. It was so easy to break the game and that's why I liked the Sims 3 better.
When you put it that way it does make sense. I kept looking for a release of Seasons for Sims 3, but I barely play the Sims 3 because it keeps lagging like crazy. Watching Sims 2 trailers really made me reconsider going back to playing Sims 2 so I can spend less time trying to fix the game and more time playing it.
I have prevosly only played the sims 2 for ps2, but I'm thinking about getting one for the pc. Is this game, seasons, any good? It sure looks fun! It's not an extension pack? And another question: do you need the cd-reader inplugged while playing( to laptop) or do you just install it yo the computer? I would be really grateful to get some good answears. Thanks anyway=)
I know this is 2 months later, and you probably decided already. But I was the same way as you like 4 or 5 years ago and I saw that sims 2 was for the pc. It is way better on the pc than any console. So I highly recommend that you get it. You have to buy the base game before you get seasons because seasons is an expansion pack.
Redeem on origin client the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS to get the sims 2 ultimate collection for free with all eps and sps. Offer ends 31st july so DO IT QUICK!
@TheCamdog42 this sure helped me but i have another question, i wanna know if for example i have an expansion pack released from 2008, and i wanna install an earlier released expansion pack from 2005, will that expansion pack from 2005 work or should i uninstall the 2008 expansion pack and then reinstall it? cuz someone told me u should install expansion packs in the order of date release, is that true?
I loved how the seasons were so convincing, when it was winter, i was really having cold! ^^ Loved the farming as well, in combination with open for business, that was cool, i had like a farm and a little vegetable market also selling pets :)
@GabbehSezHii I love sims 2 too, but here it is: In sims 3 when your sims get some children., and u wanna move them out, u kinda "loose" them. its hard to explain, but its not the same as in sims 2, when u can play with all the sims , in sims 3 u have to choose 1 family and play with that one, and then while playing all the other sims around u in the city grows older at the same time and eventually dies...
You search the Internet "Online service EA Games" and goes to the online chat, there you order The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection, they oferencem free! This is due to a promotion that happened in 2014! (Can not remember the exact year)
I have a problem. My the sims 2 seasons isn't working very well.. I can't get my snow coverage to work always when i try to put it "on" it automatically swiches it's self into the "off" it's kinda ruining the fun for me :(
I have a question, is it possible for me to use 2 expansion packs at once, for instance I have Sims 2 Open for Buissness Expansion pack and this one is it possible for me to use the open for buisness and seasons at the same time while putting either one of the CDs in the CD drive or must i use it one by one not all at once?
Sims 2 always seemed to be the best out of all the series for me. Just has this certain charm to it you gotta admire. I loved this and use to play it so much. Seasons in sims 3 just seemed so MEH. It was just there and all it ever seemed to do was make my sims sick 80% of the time. Sims 3 was always so chaotic and hard for your sim to keep up with it all, especially if you're a family player.
I'm so excited because i ordered this from amazon yesterday and it looks like a great expansion pack. i watch this tralier like 5 times each day. hope it was all worth it!
