You don’t even know the nostalgia I get from this. I have a lot of memory loss due to a brain disease, but when I see/hear the sims 1, everything comes back. Some of my best memories as a child was playing this with my cousins. So much fun. Thank you for doing this. The music just brings me back, certain objects, certain phrases they speak, just immaculate. I miss this game. Love the sims 4, still play to this day, but there was nothing like this game. ❤️ Your house is incredible btw. ❤️❤️❤️
man i dont have a disease but i still dont remember much from my childhood. It was a chaotic hell so maybe thatd why. But these games just like you said not only brings back memories but also ties those memories together, which makes me cry everytime because normally i cant recall any of those stuff.. Like i still remember how happy I was when my friend sneaked in a flashdrive with Prince of Persia: Warrior within to school (ur school had strict no electronics rule) It was heaven. Theres nothing that makes me close to that happy anymore Sims was given to me in the same way but by a different friend in middleschool. Damn. This took me back to 2003 where I would beg my sisters to play Sims but said I wasn’t old enough. So I would sneak down to the basement to play on our fat cubed computer and since then, I am a HUGE sims fan lol 😂 and not my sisters haha. So weird it can take you back like that.
@@yespls4184 I was 10 when it came out but I'm 100% sure my mom thought it was just a virtual dollhouse since they marketed it that way. We had a rough time getting along growing up but her surprising me with the Sims is a cherished happy memory. Oh well, it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the stuff on TV even back then 🤣🤣

This game bring me so much memories and emotions. Sims 1 had a huge impact on my childhood life. Its making me more want to go back to my past, where I'm still innocent. As a kid who only stays at home and doesn't have much of a friends, sims gives me comfort. I will play until my mom will call me to have dinner with my family. I miss those days. The days where I didn't know the reality of life. When i thought life is full of happiness.

I’ll never forget not knowing how to do the money cheat and having to move my family into the cheap houses, and wanting desperately to move into that huge giant mansion on the end of the lot 🤣
This brings me back to when I'd play this early in the morning on the pc before the bus picked me up for school. Waiting at the bus stop, that latin music stuff would stick in my head. On winter mornings, that could serve as a warming entertainment in my head.
Wow after seeing this game again I feel sims has lost it's charm. This vibe! The 50s/60s inspired American suburb style. So classy and wacky at the same time. This game holds some dear memories for me, I love it ❤

Yeah. I didn't understand why people would watch gameplays... Until i saw Sims' ones. Some literally do things i wouldn't think of, others just remind me that I have to just let Sims4 behind (it has become unplayable) and go back to the older Sims 😂. I will try to get used discs and resuscitate one of my older computers
My first Sims game! I was so obsessed with playing this game it’s not even funny, my aunt had it and I would specifically wanna come to her house just to play it, I couldn’t get enough! The music alone takes me back to that time! I miss my childhood 😭
I still have the original CD of the Sims 1, I got it when I was 7-8 years old, my parents bought it with all the expansions around 2006 and I played it non-stop. It was my first computer game and I have so many good memories of it even though it creeped me out every time someone came to steal. This is the game that made me love the sims.
God the nostalgia … I first got the original at Christmas 2000 when I was in 6th grade. And I was immediately hooked by my 12th birthday because I got House Party and Livin Large 🤣 I used to love making up stories and uploading them to the Sims Exchange and downloading people’s cool houses and custom made wallpapers. I never knew how people could do custom decor. And in Create a Sim, I totally forgot about the “nice” meter 🤣 they’ve come a really long way in terms of graphics and skins and clothes and whatnot. A lot of people hate Sims 4 but I’m actually enjoying it! But nothing will ever replace the hours I spent on the old Dell Desktop in my parents house, playing the first game. I think my first family was the Johannsen’s or something lol.

Sorry for my grammar if something I'm not an English speaker but oooh my... This music and sounds bring back so many good childhood memories. I remember when my mom brought a copy of the Sims 1 with some expansion packs from her coworker and gave it to me. I didn't know how to build walls at first and let my Sims live under the open sky lol. I remember my first fire, my first pet, my first vacation trip, the first time I saw a ghost and it scared crap out of me and also those creepy phone pranks, the sad clown and scary music playing randomly in the middle of the night... This game is so calming and magical. I've spent hours and hours playing it. It was a simpler time... No worries and stress just playing this masterpiece after school and enjoying every minute of it

My brother came home one weekend with this game his friend let him borrow and I remember being so confused on how to build a house, the functions, the game itself and what it meant. Even after Many years ago the nostalgia of this game is something I can’t put into words. The music, the visuals, me trying to understand sim language and so much more. Man those were the best days and we didn’t even know it! Thank you for the upload, I’m reminiscing and feeling all the feels enjoying this ❤

Dang. The music really hits hard. I remember playing this for the sake of building cool houses, with the cheat code “rosebud” for generating the money. Simpler times. I’d pay to be able to play this version again.

Would love to play this game again the original sims of course , but all my devices now are apple and I am told it can’t be played on apple devices 😞still have all my original games thou , my favourites were ‘hot date’ and ‘vacation’ 😊
I guess you can download the complete edition somewhere, like Sims 2 Ultimate Edition. And on RU-vid you can find videos about how to get it running on new PCs.
This is really comforting to me. Just like playing Tiny Life. They both give off similar vibes, in my opinion. I'd love to see you play a bit of that too, but only if it's fun for you. I understand the pixel art isn't for everyone, but it has some Sims 1 vibes for sure.

I remember downloading some of those mods. That rustic and white dining room is real life goals. This is the type of game you play to avoid your crappy problems while tweaking your goals lol. Same reason I like racing simulators. Gets the gears cranking. 💡

Same approach I still use to this day when playing Sims 3/4. Tho I miss 1, and prefer 2. Money cheat on lot. Then move to a better house. I even go in edit mode and fix whatever house/lot I want prior to moving in.
Also, my cousin and I would be taking turns playing this game for HOURS until 4 in the morning. We would give advice on house renovations, make suggestions about furniture and decor. We would always argue about parenting skill when it came to a crying baby and would be burying at least 3 of our 4 kids in the backyard cemetery due to fires that never got put out. And I’ll never forget being a wreck when child services came taking my kids 😂😂😂 what a time to be alive lol
