The Sims 1 - Relaxing/Nostalgic mix (no expansions) 

Playing this as a kid, you were hopeful: the adult world is exactly as the Sims where good is good and bad is bad but with a general peaceful atmosphere. You would dream of your own house and how you would decorate it to build the right place for your kids to grow up in. Now it's 2024, I have reached the age of 30 and I have learned that life is not quite like how the Sims portraited it. That was a hard one to swallow but fortunately due to the success of this game a lot of like minded people carry this desire of life in our hearts so at least we're not alone with this feeling

Best music of all The Sims games in my opinion. Very nostalgic. I really do miss the first Sims.

I was in high school when I used to play this early Sims. So many memories....My late dad used to sit near me reading his newspaper everyday in the afternoon. He was an an engineer, so he used to comment a lot whenever I'm in the 'building mode'. Then my lil bro will suddenly arrive and annoy me for the hell he can. My dad died in 2005, my lil bro is now a police officer. I work in a financial company but a part time contractor and homer designer...because of the SIMMMMS hahaha.

A simpler times, slow gameplay, relaxing. Brings back only good memories :)

I miss how simple the game was. Nowadays it's so rich you need 2 hours of tutorial before you can start 😅 I exagerate of course, but I do miss how simple it used to be.

I remember when I could barely dream of this game because I didn't even have a computer, nowadays I can play anything in maximum quality, however nothing fills and nothing feels as homey as sims did. We don't really know what we have until time passes.

I remember playing this on our living room computer with my lil sister laying on the desk watching and us having to take turns. Honestly one of the best memories I have of us. Happy and together before it all went to shit. Miss you Roo.

I wish they kept the realistic aesthetics and the new age/jazz songs in the latest games.

I just remembered how one of my sims passed away. Via electrocution. Also, I never had my pet dog bring me the newspaper everyday. However, my brother's dog did that .

It's beautiful and magical what Sims 1 taught me when I was a kid. It really shaped a lot of the person I am today, a kind person, who believes and trusts in a united family where love predominates and stands out... A romantic person with dreams of having my own house in harmony with my family. The most modern versions of Sims are the complete opposite of this. It's pure hate, dark people, fuchsia hair, politics, women pretending to be men, etc.

The fact that I remember every note of every music makes me so happy. Watching someone play live is also super nice 🩷✨
