Yet the Sims themselves in TS3 look so boring and ugly...and THE SAME 🤣 also the game was never optimized (no 64 bit support, some of the biggest bugs never got fixed by EA) and it is pretty much unplayable for me...and I have a gaming computer so yeah...
@@TONZAMUSIC They look realistic without the "plastic" and cartoon look of Sims 4. Moreover, we were able to change their clothes and looks with the colour wheel and textures. However, I prefer modeling my Sims body with the new CAS and the new build mode is incredible. You are also right with the bugs of Sims 3.
There's yet another way to add a mummy to your household. But I think it's really rare, happened to me once. 😀 If you travel to the past with the time machine that comes from inventing, there's a chance to bring home a mummy. Oh, and if mummy travels to the past, it may find a cure and come back as a normal sim. 😁
I think this way the game was helping to fulfill the lifetime wish, where you needed three monsters in the household, and it was really related to the inventing skill. 😁
@@cuteherogirl15 those games can be boring too but less boring.. like sims 3 was fantastic in its time but it was lagging and quiting often, had errors and the sims very too robotish with a few emotions
this is what i expected strangerville and jungle adventure to be. i don’t wanna be THAT kind of simmer but ts4 is really lacking in the gameplay aspect....
@Drain Cleaner I think he's not simply saying want a mummy, but what we need to do if we add mummy to game, you know its encounter, challenges, and dire consequence. Also, they can reintroduce mummy to Jungle Adventure just in different form and look, since each culture may have a norm that said to preserved a dead body. But yeah jungle is bad for mummy preservation.
I play both 3 and 4, given that it's been six years, 4 is lacking a lot! In my opinion, all Sims 3 needed is the search bar in BB mode, the customization and maybe a couple of objects from 4; 4 needs the action packed gameplay and debug sorted like the one in 3. 4 is good for building etc, but 3 is King when it comes to playing with sims.
Kinda mad that I had World Adventures and never even knew the Sphinx thing was a possibility. I cheated & looked thru all 3 worlds, all the mazes & whatnot, & still never saw this. Sims 4 could never.
The Sims 4 says they can do game packs for things like vampires using the argument of "muh they have more content" and yet here is the sims 3 with so many small details and yet part of a single large pack
@Dzastin 0713 Yea but its no excuse for the sheer lack of content, the way EA runs the team into the ground and the fact they rushed Sims 4 out long long before it was even done.
@Dzastin 0713 I played Sims 2 BASE game. Way more features than the Sims 4 base game. By a mile, even after all the updates. Furthermore, the packs from Sims 2 and 3 are far more playable than with Sims 4. And it doesnt change the fact the team needs a fucking break for once. They are being rushed by EA, run into the ground and it shows.
@Dzastin 0713 better mechanic, really? That doesn't saying a lot because TS 3 is under optimized but at least come as a complete game, meanwhile TS 4... Beside TS 4 gameplay revolved around 'emotion system' that to me seem like 'if A' happen, then 'play this B animation' and so on. Other than that, the multitasking feature perhaps a bit more complex.
Onlyabidoang: Mummies do not need to use the bathroom, but funnily enough, they can eat. I wonder where all that food goes when it gets digested? Mummy on screen: Don't worry, this cloth is very absorbent! Me: -flashback to WooHoo with mummy- 🤮
Sims 4.....COULD NEVER!!!!! sims 3 has always been my favorite along with 2. (Yes ik..lagging) Simmers who are just now starting sims only until recent and never experienced the first releases of these packs....you missed out! But now I feel old 😂😂😂 I’m glad these are back. I have always loved these videos! ❤️
Wow. World Adventures was their first Sims 3 expansion pack(if I recall correctly). Everything was so nuanced! I only played World Adventures a little bit, but never traveled to the actual destinations, only a custom neighborhood one I downloaded.
SO MUCH content for mummies and the mummy curse alone and SO MUCH interplay between Sims 3 packs when it comes to curing curses! God I miss how full of content the Sims 3 was! Most of this stuff I didn't even know was a thing!
Okay so once my sim defeated a mummy while tomb exploring. Later on she gets a call from said mummy asking her out for a date. Dude. (I would have accepted - the dude’s rich af, but she was in another tomb and clicking Accept might have landed her in a trap or something.)
What's up with the second sentence? If I understood your sentence correctly, mummies first came in the Sims franchise in the Sims 3s DLC World Adventures.
I explored a tomb for the first time today after having an expansion pack for a month. The moment the first mummy comes out my sim l gets an attraction to them.😂
Great video, I laughed. Yet another GREAT example of how well a thing, like being a mummy, can be so involved in Sims 3 and be completely absent in Sims 4. Sims 3 was much more creative when it came to adventure and having fun. I find I play Sims 3 far more than 4 these days.
I would be interested if there would be mummy's in the Sims 4. Maybe in an Egyptian culture expansion or mod. For the looks, I would like there to be different looks, even more human-like. Similar to Cleo De Nile from Monster High, maybe they can have different styles. Those are my thoughts. Thank you for this video.
1:57 Never seen this before and wow :o This video reminded me how epic Sims 3 is... And I like the fact that you took Kenji Midden, our little archaeologist, to excavations :D
You forgot to say your Sim cannot turned into a mummy if they are already a supernatural creature. That also happens with mermaids. A werewolf, genius, witch, vampire... cannot become a mermaid or a mummy.
A mummy feature I enjoy that wasn't in the vid is that mummies can order a special drink from bars if you have Late Night. I can't remember what it's called... something something sand? Me being a completionist, I turned my sim into a mummy just so I could order it a bunch of times to learn the recipe :D
There are two more ways to cure the Mummy’s Curse: 1 Sleeping in the Blessed Sarcophagus. 2 Meditating for a few hours. If your Sim has at least five points in Martial Arts this is the easiest way to cure your Sim without cheats (unless you already have the Moodlet Manager).
The mummy’s curse death is one my favourite death types that I tried to add it to the Sims 4 with sims 4 studio but I don’t know how to have the custom animation play when the sim dies as it just becomes a death pose when the timer runs out and I don’t think sims 4 has screen effects like it’s predecessor however unlike sims 3 to curse sims is to click on the target sim and click curse. This mod is now in hiatus because of the game being updated repeatedly.
Apparently if you don’t cure the curse and your sim is outside any lot they can survive the curse and be immediately cured which feels like some glitch as sims cannot die outside of lots in the Sims 3.
Also, there is a way to sort of avoid the mummy. IF you're lucky and no I dont mean have the lucky trait If there's another Sim at the entrance to the tomb and you've cleared a path to your location, call them over. I did this with a random paparazzi sim. Once she got in, I opened the chest that triggered the mummy and GTFO'ed out of the room. The mummy decided to attack the paparazzi sim XDDD it was funny
I have only played sims 4, so it is shocking to see how much detail was put into the mummies, like not liking fire and putting it out b.c of it. Small things that add personality to a sim. I wish they would have been as in depth with the sims 4 traits system as they were with these mummies. I randomly pick a trait b.c none of them change or impact my gameplay at all, so the traits I give them don’t matter in the slightest which is such a wasted opportunity to give the sims some personality.
I have a couple, a husband who's a vampire and a wife who's a witch. They both got attack by mummy and somehow the game bugged. Both got the curse, and when the moodled expired, they didn't even die. They just went on with their life like nothing happens..
Geez, you weren't kidding when you said the Mummy Snacks would increase their hunger need "a bit". It does less than eating produce does! I almost feel like the Mummy Snacks outside of adventures themselves are useless. Regular Dried Food works just as good on Mummies as it does on humans so that's which I prefer to use. Why waste your Ancient Coins on something when Pemmican can completely fill up the hunger bar for the same amount?
I have craptop too, I suggest to use this mods: - Nraass error trap and overwatch (maybe also the traffic one) - Use CC magic to install and managing custom content - Disable any reflection on setting - Use empty or reroute world for starter game. - Optional: use TS 3 Gpu from nexus mod. As a testimomy, so far I can play with 4 expansion packs, a ton of mods (as long as not overhaul or game changing mod like inteens and Onikikay), and wait 10 minutes or more of loading screen. Its not smooth of course, but much more playable than without this configuration, sadly sometimes still there's sudden freeze.
If I made TS5: Mummies would be introduced in The Sims 5: Adventures From Another World (AFAW) and could be found in Pyramids while time-traveling to the past. They are like a mix of The Sims 3 Mummies (WA) and The Sims 4 Skeletons (JA).
Has anyone tried taking a mummy to Oasis Landing and tried to engineer a baby with them? Could this be a work around for not being able to try for a baby possibly?
