The Sims 3 House Building - 2 Aluna Heights - Aluna Island 

From an artist's point of view I personally find TS3 to be much more visually appealing (in a realistic sense obviously) than TS4. And I definitely don't mean all artists would agree with me, this is my personal opinion, not all artists value realism. Even in the furnishing though and not just the graphics I feel like TS3 provides so much more of a like you're actually there vibe, which is what I love about this game specifically. I was disappointed when I saw the style of TS4 but only because I was hoping for a step up in the realism, which I know wouldn't be easy and probably create a lot more lag for casual gamers, but still, I can't help what I feel. The game of course has it's upsides, like multi-tasking and the ability to move much more freely. When it comes to building and designing however, TS3 takes the win for me. It just seems so much more personal with TS3, I hope that, although it won't be for a long long long time, any other Sims games that may come out will step more towards a realistic direction or have as much if not more detail as TS3.

It's amazing. After so many Sims 4 videos, there are just SOO many interesting objects and colors. It looks so good.

This is probably one of my favorite houses that youve built, and one of my favorites that ive seen in the Sims! Great job! I love the laid back exterior with the upscale and slightly modern interior. The floor plan is one of the best ive seen in a while too... I love the staircase that goes down into the basement how it wraps around by the kitchen. The one thing id change is Id make it more open plan by switching the kids bedroom with the chess room and removing the walls in the new chess room

I am glad that you do not abandon TS3 completely because I do prefer TS3.

Yaaayy Sims3 is back! I don't know what it is but I love Sims3. I've been watching all your Sims 4 videos and am enjoying them but I much prefer Sims 3 (even though the lag is unreal) and definitely won't be getting 4. Beautiful house as always.

You could also make some modern cliff houses on the island. they would stand out from all of these classic ones :)

I don't _have_ a lot of Sims 3 expansions so usually I don't download your houses but _holy hell_, I need this one. I do not care if I have to redo all of the furnishings and put in windows and doors and floorings. I. Need. This. House.And do you mind if I try to recreate some of your houses in Sims 2? "Do, do that voodoo, that you do so well..." You do something to me, James, and that something is...entertain me! And voodoo goes well with the island theme. I love when you do those cliff lots (that you do so well). I would enjoy the freak out of living in a house that had all those stairs leading to the beach. Nice to see you again, Aluna. TS3 is still darn nice looking in my book, it's crisp, clear, clean looking compared to TS4's more saturated, vibrant atmosphere. Each has its own charm and appeal to me...get tired of one, play the other for a while.

Sorry if you said this before, but can you release another version of Aluna Island in it's current state? I'd love to play in it (with the houses you built), but since you seem to focus on Sims 4 only, maybe you could put this world up for download even if it's not finished.

I really appreciate the "void" as you said mainly because i wish thats normal foundations would do.

You should create a neighborhood on Aluna Island with modern mansions. Would be awesome.

I hope Sims 4 add some of the features from Sims 3 like spiral stairs, making hills, and platforms. Hope they upgrade that soon.

I do the same thing, black walls, black floors for the "dead space" or spaces that aren't supposed to be seen but because of the architecture are there. I find then that they are easier to ignore than if I leave them unpainted.

Sims 3 sims 4 love them both, I can no longer live without multi tasking sims though, or the sims 4 camera. Sims3 just has so much more to do in it, even if create a mode takes six years to work on my computer

James something cool you could is start to build a house then leave underconstruction. That way you have some houses that look like their being built and when people download the world they can finish them off or something.

Hey James, thanks for posting this video and I hope you continue Aluna Island because I can't wait for it to be finished. I don't think I'll ever get The Sims 4 as it just doesn't look as good as The Sims 3. When/If this is finished, will you be asking subs to create families to move in? Also, hope everything is good in Sydney, my uncle lives there and he said it was pretty chaotic. I'm visiting Sydney in January for a few months and the weather should definietely be good then!

I actually have a vacation house off the shore of the beach. It has 5 bedrooms, one for me, one for my brother, one for my mum and dad, one for the maids when we are staying there and one for the house keeper when we are not there. But I don't think it is my favourite holiday home, I'm torn between the house is China, the house in India and the house in New Zealand.

I love the stuff you build i wish i had that kind of flare.

My sims 4 game is really laggy I don't know if it's my computer but it's a Mac computer so it shouldn't really but I used the sims 3 game and it worked fine do u know what is making it laggy or has this happened to you before because it's a new game for me so yeah

Am I the only one who freaked out when he started painting the ceilings!?!? I've played sims 3 since it came out and I had NO IDEA you could do that!

So how do you get rid of the leveled terrain when you import it? When I put it on a lot, it makes it leveled like 10 feet off the ground!
