This isn't "fake." WTF It's an actual set of hair and clothing created by a fan of the game and offered to the community for free. Since it's all on the same theme, the creator (Luumia) just organized it into a "Stuff Pack" and made a little trailer because it's cute.

1. They aren't getting paid to do this at all and they've done a really good job. Hence the high praise. Presumably, their hobbies are designing CC and making machinimas, not writing gameplay mods. So that would explain why there isn't gameplay... 2. I don't think anyone in the Sims community has ever hated on free updates from EA with more clothes in them.
