The Alto family deserved a makeover and revival in The Sims 4, they were too iconic! I also brought their lore back with the Langraab's and other townies in my full vid
They could of made a lot more lore with the Alto family . They should've made them enemies because maybe Johnny Zest ( the disowned and hated son) had a relationship with Holly Alto and none of their families approved thus disowning them
Actually this would not add up considering the timeline. In the sims 3 Bella and Morthimer are children and Holly is a teen which would mean that in the Sims 4 Holly would either be an adult or elder.
Get Famous brought other iconic sims from previous games like Dustin Broke, as celebrities. Although, like you said, I don't consider them to be the cannon ones. They're more like "actors" who'll play as them, as fitting for the expansion pack's theme💀
The name Alto always reminded me of the “Sopranos”. I never looked up the reasoning of putting the Alto family in Sims 3. But I know the sims like play on words.
Their daughter being the complete opposite of them is actually pretty realistic. A majority of people will have some major trait about themselves (the way they manage their schedule, their worldview, etc.) that's opposite to how they were raised. The human mind likes stability and familiarity, but it also hates being stuck in one constant state. When you've spent 18+ years living under someone else's rule, you're bound to deviate at least a little once you have rule over yourself.
I'm pretty sure the Alto family also run the water facilities, if you go without paying your bills it will eventaully mention Alto (If I'm remembering correctly)
@@adrienhorrell5612the sims 3 is the earliest timeline. It goes sims 3 , sims 1, then sims 2 I believe. I think sims 1 goes before 2, because Bella hasn’t disappeared yet. And 3 is the confirmed start, because Bella and Mortimer are both kids in Sunset Valley; along with some other interesting characters. I personally love playing with the Crumple-bottom household, her backstory is tragic and I like giving that sim the life she seemingly hasn’t had lol 😂
Holly Alto should have been put in horse ranch or Henford-on-bagley, to get away as far as possible from her family and rejects their mom's & dad's lavish lifestyle

Just a reminder that there were multiple versions of Holly Alto before Sims 4 and the Sims 4 one appears to be a mashup of them. Every Sims game except Sims 4 has had different lineups of premade characters and storylines for the console versions.
Sometimes I think that sims 4 isn't a alternate universe but in between sims 1 and sims 2 where everything is okay for everyone atm, the landgrabbs left sunset valley to have a monopoly in the sims 4 universe, bella and mortimer goth had Alexander goth and were happy before the unfortunate bella goes missing tragedy. That's the story I think about because itd make sense, when did bella have Alexander? Why did he randomly just pop up in sims 2? I think bella went missing the year Alexander turned into a child sim, which is why Alexander is still a child. Am I right in thinking this? The sims 4 is a part in the story that everything is peaceful before the storm of the sims 2
I love this household, because I don’t even try to befriend them but somehow the male sim in my household always befriends (Nick? I think that’s his name) and his wife; Vita. I have a head cannon that the Altos are intentionally befriending my sims because I end up buying most the real estate in town lol 😂 they schmoozing
Didn't The Sims 4 take place in the alternative universe? Obviously the lore won't be canon to others games, i mean in the game Bella Goth was still with her family and you can play as her even though in The Sims 2 she wasn't with the family as she went missing obviously.
I played the Alto family all the time! Since i hated the Landgraabs and I liked how Holly is the opposite. 😂 i almost forgot about them having not played it in like 5 years.. Holly Alto in the Sims I completely ignored too 😅
My last name is Alto. Since I only played the sims 4 and didn’t know the lore at the time I was so confused when my sim (named after myself) in get famous met holly alto.

About the Holly in ts4, there's also a celebrity named Dustin Broke (yk, like Brandi's eldest?) But it's not the same Dustin in ts2, so I don't think it's the same Holly from ts3

The Sims might have actually targeted some politician because there was a story like this in America where the daughter wouldn’t stop spilling secrets on TikTok 😂 made her have to leave work to find out she couldn’t do anything. Sweet justice 😅

Supposedly, I don't like that though personally and want to bring back the familiarity and lore of previous games because it was too good! Not copy the older games or anything just bring back some iconic families along with sims 4 originals

Not very known but holly alto is seen in the sims 3 DS as grown married to her husband and they are both dark skin instead of white as a ghost lmao, the DS and wii games shouldnt be taken as canon, but just interesting!
I also don't think get famous holly is the same one, since they don't really share anything but the name. She could potentially be related to the family though.
If that is true, WHY? 😂 Why is there a super annoying norm in TS4 of taking iconic recognisable sims from previous games, making them look completely different and sticking the same name on them? Isn't that super confusing for no reason? (ik it's an alternate timeline but for me that's not an excuse lol)

Given sims 4 is somewhat of an AU that holly is not canon. Afaik 3 was a prequel to 1 and 2 was the sequel to 1. And 4 is just an altogether different reality.
yeah I agree, I haate that the sims 4 basically took characters that we recognised and just changed them for the lols and changed any lore so it no longer made sense under pretence of a AU
@@Jaz_Sims esp. Given it's AU status they could have made the Altos own sims 4's world basically. And maybe in that reality Agnes could've been happy. But no they gave us similar events but everybody is just entirely different.
They went away bc the Sims team replaced them with the Landgraabs bc they needed a rich villain family and instead of choosing the rich villains from the sims 3 they picked the not as evil rich family from the Sims 3. Most Sims 4 adaptations of old Sims are unfaithful imo and in my saves I replace them with prior versions. I mean I get that they’re the official writers and all but come on. Secret agent Bella? Author Mortimer? The lore is losing the plot.
