I have to say it, this is probably what Castle Estate could have been. I wouldn't be mad if they made an updated version of the Sims Medieval but we all know that they would turn it into an absolute mess and it just wouldn't be the same.
The Medieval pack should have been an expansion with his own medieval world and Cas and buy items. I can't believe they put out a stuff pack with so little.
I only wish you'd be able to build stuff yourself in medieval - like maybe the main castle could be static, but being able to build the smaller buildings or at least place more walls inside the shells (like city living apartments) would be nice so you'd be able to have more private bedrooms for individual family members etc
I have both the Sims Medieval and the expansion pack. It's an awesome game, the design was slightly better than Sims 3, the characters didn't look made of fudge, it had quests and stories, a lot of dark humor and you could torture people with chinchillas, what more can you want?)
They don't have the need to pee or shower BUT if you do, it gives them good moodlets to help you out. Also, make sure you collect plants, do some fishing, etc, to help offset costs from the market and help with the different jobs. It can be tedious but like you stated it's like playing a live career. (which yea technically you are lol)
Love Sims Medieval and glad to see you playing it! Also, the physician’s name is still Sexy Sandwich-but the game considers Sandwich his last name, and his career title is Bloodletter, so many sims would conversationally call him that and his first name, hence Bloodletter Sexy. Also, to get meat for quests, the pit beast, and also to make better stews (without having to constantly spend money for it), any playable character can hunt in the woods but their mood changes the success/failure rate.
I love this game so much. I love collecting leeches so the physician can heal people on the rack. I love playing with the blacksmith and finding legendary irons to smith with. I love playing the bard and collecting inspiration from all over the land. And I love playing the merchant and sailing to other kingdoms to make a ton of money. I've still got my Sims Medieval game guide so I can see the best places to trade. This game is so good.
Bloodletter is Mr. Sexy's title. The physicians were often called Bloodletters because of the practice of Bloodletting to "cure" people, which basically just meant cutting their arms/legs, letting blood flow out onto the ground to "get the impurities out of them", and then bandaging them up LMAO
Satch, hopefully your game will not crash again but the quests are generated randomly and so if you wanted a particular one back you can reroll them using a cheat. It's also helpful if the quests you get repeat or are just not interesting. Also I loved the Sims unique religion 'YOU are the watcher' the Sims 4 could never.
small tip, if you train the knight, royal, and spy on the steal dummy you get more XP also if your sim is in a bad mood, feed the beast, it will give you a good mood modlet for 24 sim hrs :)

enable testingcheats in game files its handy to have sometimes even if u dont cheat. also once u run out of those quest points you finish the world and for a new asipiration you have to start fresh (i didnt know this) so if you ever start going low but wanna continue with the workd cheat some in. (theres a freeplay mode after u finish but everything gets locked, no quests, no leveling up etc so it kinda sucks
I would absolutely love to see more of this! Honestly, you're making me want to buy/play it, I never knew it was so good! I didn't get to play it as a kid. Now to see if I can find a way to actually get it to work, since some people still can't get it to work with the fix you showed.

Im so glad seeing the Sims Medieval getting the love it deserves. I never managed to unlock everything. There were so many other kingdoms to explore and I only explored like 3 of them.
I love this series. I originally started playing with the sims 4 and didn’t know this game existed and I definitely am considering getting it at some point. It seems so cool it’s kind of like if sims and RuneScape had a baby.
I want the sims universe to bring the sims 2 castaway up to date and playable on consoles/pc!! It was my all time favorite game and it is what introduced me to the sims. I played it on my wii 😢
Loved this video Satch, Please make it a series it's nice to watch other sims games, and you looked like you really enjoyed playing. The Sims Medieval is so perfectly chaotic but also so in-depth it's awesome.
Many daily tasks for characters are mini-games, actually. Messa for priests, healing, fighting, smithing. You have different action to move bar in the corner. For healing you need herbs and leeches. I honestly love this game.
Well, better than that... Castaway. I miss that game so much. 🤣 Now, I want help to solve an issue: I have Jenny Smith in my game and she was already married to Pol. Tech 9 and had Johnny, while she was studying Biology and working as a nurse. I don't know what happened but her work day at the hospital was prolonged beyond the schedule and I had to restart the game. Before I did that, I saved my progress. When I returned, only Jenny had the milestones of being in love, engaged and married to Pol. Tech 9... they were still married on her end, but the marriage did not appear in the genealogy tree, even though they were still husband and wife. And Jenny also lost her job and her progress in her degree as if she had never had a job or was never enrolled in the university. She still had the acceptance letter, but she couldn't read it anymore and she had to apply to scholarships and to the university all over again. Her progress in her career was also deleted. Why did this happen and how can I prevent this from happening again?

LOL, the religion isn't real. They worship the Watcher... YOU as the player are the Watcher. This game has sooooo many little nuances that you suddenly notice and then its "Wow, thats awesome!" And yes the quests ARE different depending on who is doing them, I once did the same quest three times with three different Heroes and it was different for all three. If you have the expansion, you are already playing it. It's all over and you just don't realize it because its very well integrated. Sooooo they used the villager as a guinea pig! I guess they didn't care if the villager died. Oh the things in this game. Yes, keep playing! I want you to see when the prince shows up again!
Wow! I didn't know that priests and sermons existed in the Sims Medieval,tbh they need to add religion and belief systems in the game to make it more interesting, doesn't need to be detailed and realistic because it's just a game.. We already have Hijab scarves for Hijabis ,then why not put veils , rosaries and Bible for Christians and an option of attending churches , mosques or temples ,even just those pop up questions or rabbit holes,idk but I've been thinking that since I was younger ..I mean a cc or Mod could do because we all know how expensive packs were..
