The Sin of Elitism | Tony Evans Sermon 

Three and a half years ago my momma talked so much about this ministry... When I saw her last she was trying to convince me to sit down and watch a video with her.. I kinda, halfway did. 😆 OH BUT GOD ....a few months ago, my RU-vid algorithm introduced me to Priscilla Shirer...OMG, I was so blessed by her! Her smile, her energy, her messages and her delivery of the WORD!! One day I saw the advertisement with her, her siblings and... her father!!! OMG.. I texted my sister (who was mommy's caregiver)... I said GUESS WHAT?? My BFF, Priscilla Shirer, is mommy's favorite pastor's daughter...she said "I know" 😆 🤣 😂 So, how 'bout after years after mommy went to be with the Lord, I'm watching, listening to, understanding and studying with mommy's favorite pastor... Pastor Tony Evans. My momma was always right 🙌🏾 ❤

I fell asleep watching something else and in the midst of my dream, everything changed. The setting, and I heard this sermon begin to play. I was cleaning and started eating chocolate pie (that I absolutely despise) but I listened to every word that was being spoken. I woke up to catch the last 10 minutes and I’m speechless! 👏🏽 Such a good word.

Almost 40 yrs a radio mishap am/fm led me to Dr. Evans on the way to Karate 🥋 class. I have tried to listen everyday since then. It has been my blessing from day one. I am so grateful he saved my life when I was fractured and still to this day 🙏.

I would love to find me a church where it's not about the pastor getting money from the members buying nice houses and cars there children going to the best schools with the money that I work hard for if there's any church out there that doesn't do that can anyone let me know? In Jesus time it was hard to even distinguish Jesus. He looked like everyone else. He sat in the group with the group. In fact he had to be pointed out. Now a days it's easy to know who the elite are, you only need look at the stage or the front row or the roped off section.

Convict and repent and be Glorified JESUS.🌹 Amen

Isaiah 53:5, But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes, we are healed. For salvation, people just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in the water and of the spirit. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled with the Holy Ghost and rising again from dead works of the flesh. That's what Acts 2:38 is. Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match-up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Jesus Christ was our perfect example back to God. He was baptized and received the Holy Ghost and we must be baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. He was holy and walked in righteousness and we must be holy and walk in righteousness. He died and rose again, and we must die to the things of this world and rise to walk in the newness of life. He prayed to the father showing us how to pray to the father. I love watching Dr Tony Evans. He has a way of preaching God's word that I completely understand. I have been listening to him for years, first on the Moody radio, and now on TV and RU-vid. God truly works through Dr. Evans. There have been so many times when I have been praying on something or just having a real hard time and I would just happen to hear one of Dr. Evans sermons and it would seem as if God was literally answering my prayer. That has happened several times. God still performs miracles it's just a matter of having open eyes to see them. I have such a deep respect for Dr. Evans he preaches God word and does not try and change the Word to fit into today's world. God bless you Dr. Evans and your ministry. I love it "you gotta go to college to become an atheist". I have a Masters Degree and in my collegiate walk, I have come across some of the most spiritually ignorant people. One must have a strong faith to not be indoctrinated by the theories and philosophies that are taught in colleges/universities. Often times, students go in with a Christian background and end up leaving atheist, agnostic, or practicing other New Age religion

That day I didn't know what to think of what he did. since then I have been worried or afraid to go to other churches because of the rejection. But I still Believe in the loving YAHWEH. Verse 10 of James chapter 2 says, whosoever keepeth the whole law and offend at one point is guilty of all. Do this include the 4th commandment also, which speaks of keeping God's Sabbath day? I have witnessed an usher treat a "homosexual looking" guy terribly. Who knows if the man was seeking repentance and a change in life. Ushers, REALLY be mindful that to some, you are their only reflection of Christ.

Leviticus 11:46-47 This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth: 47 To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

The book of James is soooo wonderful to me! It teaches the fundamentals of Christianity. How to conduct yourself as a TRUE CHRISTIAN(in Spirit)not carnal(in the flesh). One of my favorite verses is "your gold & silver are corroded, their corrosion WILL TESTIFY AGAINST YOU & eat your flesh like fire."(James) Now that one was an eye opener because it allows you to realize that no matter how "rich" you are...you will not be able to bail yourself out of the judgment. That goes for the poor, the middle class, & any class where pride is at work in them. As a Christian I choose to walk in humility regularly. "HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE THE LORD & HE WILL LIFT YOU UP" (James) These "elite" are spritually bankrupt & are "spiritual beggars" as I've heard it said before. Thank you Father God for blessing those who are called by your name. Those who diligently seek your face & not your hands. Those who listen to the Holy Spirit when impressed to act in faith & in good works(as they go hand in hand). Thank you Lord for meeting all your servants needs in every way. May we "speak & act as those who are going to be judged by the Law that gives freedom"(James) & may your people continue to walk in your wonderful grace & mercy Lord. IN JESUS NAME! AMEN!

A great take-away is God is not for a political party. He doesn't sit on the back of a donkey or elephant. Neither should we.

Tithing with money is not even biblical. Pastor tells you the "law" has been fulfilled and you don't have to keep the commandments, don't have to keep the Sabbath or the feast days.....but you have to pay your tithes. Come out of these man made religions. You Israelites(Deuteronomy 28:15-68, descendants of the trans-Atlantic slave trade) must keep the Most High's statues and command. We must worship TMH in spirit and truth!!
