Sentosa Island is Singapores principal resort hosting theme parks, visitor attractions, nature trails and some stunning beaches.
The Singapore Cable Car is not the only way to reach this leisure seekers paradise but it has to be the most fun.
The Singapore cable car attraction is actually two separate cable car lines. One route runs from Mount Faber and across the Harbour front cruise dock to Sentosa island itself. The other route runs across the island from the spectacular Siloso Beach area and nature reserve to Merlion Station in the heart of the resorts areas of the island
Getting there is easy and the super efficient and cheap Singapore MRT can take you all the way to the Harbourfront station and from here you can take a lift to the Harbourfront cable car station.
Or for the more adventurous you can walk out the front of the MRT station and climb the forest trail up Mount Faber, enjoying the sights and sounds as you climb.
The cable car runs from 8:45am to 10pm with last boarding at 9:30 pm
There are ticket offices at the stations or you can buy tickets online. Ticketing options are a little complicated. You can buy tickets for each journey you make on each of the 2 lines or option for a day pass that allows you to use both lines during the day. The Day pass costs 43 Singapore dollars for adults and 35 dollars for children. This option can prove good value for you want to fully explore Sentosa Island.
You can also buy discounted attraction tickets at the same time as you buy the cable car tickets
The Mount Faber line gondolas are Pokémon themed for fans of the game.
The Mount Faber route is spectacular. As you leave Mount Faber you head across the jungle passing through the Harbourfront station before heading ou5 over the cruise dock. It’s a spectacular site to pass over the ships In port .
The route takes you across the aquarium area before arriving at Sentosa station
To access the Sentosa Line cable car it’s a short walk of up to 10 minutes to either the Merlion Station or Imbiah Lookout station and this cable car route can quickly whisk you across the island to its various attractions and fabulous beaches
It’s a wonderful way to travel to and through this beautiful island resort. And provides opportunities for wonderful photos as you pass across the islands many sights.
So why not make this part of your fun when you visit Singapore
