The amount of folklore that is put subtly into the dialogue and setting is incredible. Example, the portrait in Brutus Carpenter's room beside his map table is the spanish El Cuco, a man eating shape shifter. I love your work with popular AAA games that are released, but these deep cuts into pulp fiction are really awesome!

So just to be clear this game is quite literally an adaptation of H.P. Lovecrafts Shadow over Innsmouth

What a weird but intriguing game. I loved some of the Characters in it, Don't know if it will be everyone's cup of tea. Anyways Gamer's Little Playground I enjoyed it & that's the main thing :-) All the best & as always be safe from Dublin, Ireland.

The dialogue is written better than the story. Some parts were really anti-climactic but seems like a decent game. The character designs were really impressive and Reed was an intriguing protagonist. And the editing in this video was really well done.

From this I learned that to keep insanity at bay, I must keep going.

What I never got about this game was the eye colors. Almost everybody either has blue eyes or green eyes, sometimes unusual or photorealistic green eyes. Keep in mind, some have dark blue eyes that look a bit "brown". But some also have blind eyes that are totally fishy.. seriously.

The main character’s voice reminds me of Spike from Cowboy Bebop

I love to video games very much and see watching video games I called it video game watch party

Game has a pretty interesting story so far , really good characters , Animations are a bit off for me but it sure does convey the feeling of things being on the decline. The only think i don't like is how just like in every game you go to a person because someone sent you there , they say "do that for me first" you do it , they give you what you want and send you to the next NPC - rinse and repeat. Otherwise game has a very nice dynamic - all in all 8/10 so far will see how it goes

This game is intriguing but there seems to be no explanation for how Charles Reed is able to view events of the past and the dialogue from there during his investigations. Is he supposed to be having "visions" in these cases of past events when he goes to their location?

I think IMdB may have gotten the cast wrong. Firstly they don't every voice actor/character in the game and the ones they do don't seem correct. For example they have Xander Mobeus listed as Robert Throgmortan's voice, however listening through his and Charles, I can tell you Xander voices the latter. For reference, Xander is also the voice of Aoi Todo and Toge Inumaki in Jujutsu Kaisen and Bazz B and Quilge Oppue in Bleach TYBW, the latter does have a British accent like Robert, but is nowhere near that deep. I've tried looking up the credits the game shows and non show the voice cast, not sure why. If I had to take a crack at who voices Robert, he sounds quite a lot like Niel Kaplan, who voices Madara Uchiha in Naruto, who other than the accent, sounds identical to Robert. I'm pretty sure Allegra Clarke is also the voice of Anna. Let me know what you guys think, or if anyone can correct me than let me know

I guess you need a special writer to translate Lovecraft into a video game. Bloodborne did it. This game did not.

Interesting game it's a mix of puzzle solving skills and creepshow with a hint of planet of the apes I like it to bad it's not on ps2 systems I could go for a test drive myself thanks for sharing🤔

Why did they use same character design over and over again its really annoying

i watched another version of this when it came out that was like 5 hours i think but it was poorly done and missing a lot of important shit... this one is so much better lol, im glad i gave it another shot or ida been fully convinced this game was garbage.. it was even worse having to see it in 144p with the shit data speed i had at the time... kinda pissed now to see i have missed out for so damn long.. i swear im never clicking on anyone else's shit but GLP's. Well gamematics is actually pretty decent but only if you want a bit more gameplay with the story.

so this game is like call of cathulu but has definitely different noticeable aspects

i like stuff like this and call of cthulu, but i would edit out the bits where you choose what to say so the conversations flow more like in a movie.

wow, really encapsulates the essence of a lovecraft book with the way it makes all the black people look like the same person...ya know, the inherent racism. seriously wtf? they all have the same model just with different clothes and hair, yet not all, but most of the white characters are clearly different models. thats pretty fucked up man. you would think that with what computers can do these days, they could have made all the interactable characters completely different from each other.why are games still doing the same crap they've always done but just wrapping it in prettier wrapping ''erm, they may all look similar, but they all have actual hair and translucent pupils bla bla bla'' its a waste of processing power for shit that doesnt matter when the real problems lie untouched in games ofr decades. they can make a characters ears translucent so the light shines through them like say guardians of the galaxy, but the characters still clip through walls and set pieces still load their meshes in at the last possible minute so shit pops up in front of your eyes....but look at the sun go through their ears...wow. sorry, it just pissed me off seeing the same model over and over for every black character is saw, but like i said, lovecraft books were racist as fuck too, so it couldn't be more lovecraft if it named its cat the most fucked up thing it could.
