Lange collector Roger dropped off his new Sinn which has a fully lumed dial and diving performances to make it one of the best tool watch that is also ultra compact and comfortable for an every day wear.
Both look awsome bu the only thing with Sinn is you need to send your watch for servicing to Sinn just... please correct me if Im wrong. Thanks for presenting those bad boys !
I'm not sure if it's true for all models. But I guess you buy Sinn to get something that's tougher and specialised. So it would make sense that service should be conducted by themselves up to the point of being large enough to have it available out of Germany.
It depends on the Model. The U50 with it's SW300-1 should be serviceable by any watchmaker, but for watches that are gas- or oil-filled or have any other unique feature, I would send them back to Sinn.
Cool full lume version. But, I still prefer the U50 S BS like yours which I also have. Great watch I've bought many Sinns on bracelets from Sinn AD and they have never come with lock tight. Luckily, I've never needed it and never had any link screws back out.
Roger, are you reading this? I ain't gonna buy another one so I need your help... So from what I can tell, two main differences: the indices are now full blocks of lume which is a bit unnecessary, functionally and esthetically, but some might like it. The other change is really welcome and it's the rotating bezel to adjust the scale because the little side knob on the previous version is SO hard to turn quickly. Well I guess... that's my review already. Free of charge. I still like the black version the best.
Bonjour Mes Amis is perfect and we are all ready at those words to share a beautiful watch experience with you. By the way, “The Watch to Blind a Shark” may be the best video title ever! 😂
I hear BONJOUR MES AMIS and I click like! Great review, I love my Sinn watch, and I love seeing them covered on a chamnel with high end watches. This is truly a channel for the real enthusiasts!
I've owned 3 Sinn watches, all overrated and all had the worst lume I've ever experienced in my life. All bought direct from Sinn. Ive literally owned $60 watches with infinitely better lume. Pathetic really.
I think they are only overrated regarding their lume application when it comes to their current prices for these timepieces. But otherwise, these are the only watches that seem to fit within my budget whilst also providing extreme water resistance, durability, and an overall smaller size that still manages to fit on my spaghetti sized wrist, haha. But that is what makes this U50 S L take the cake. Finally, a Sinn dive watch hits the market that ALSO has great lume! My collection of U50 watches is already too big. But perhaps I will feel more inclined to sell some of my other U50s once I receive this one in the mail in the coming months. Back to what we were both commenting on Sinn's poor lume application: My 125 piece limited supply U50 Professional watch has the worst lume application BY FAR. Which further confirms what I had written above. They really need to improve their lume application skills to remain desirable at their current price point. And it is rather funny that their most supply limited U50 watch has the worst lume application. But perhaps this U50 S L is their testing grounds for whether or not they have finally found a great lume application method for use on future watches? Sure, it would require a bit more delicate manufacturing steps applying indices made of the hybrid ceramic lumed material. But if that would finally bring them up-to-speed with their competitors regarding their lume, then I would be strongly support that change.
