No band is better than Theatre Of Tragedy, in this genre, if you ask me. Draconian is a solid second. But being in the US, we have to search through countless bands and always end up enjoying the European bands. Music here in the states just sucks. All of it.
0:00 Pandemonium 7:20 All Alone 13:50 The Mournful Euphony 21:31 Nebula Queen 27:37 Perpetual Desolation 31:46 Lake Of Sorrow 38:17 The Flame Of Wrath 45:46 Partial Insanity 52:17 Forever
Her voice is amazing and the violinist is absolutely amazing.. you can hear the Arcturus and theatre of tragedy influence not on either level but damn close❤
After 20 years, I still think that's the best live concert performance of the golden era of old style gothic metal (also Theatre of Tragedy and Tristania did amazing live gigs)
Yes, Vibeke was really cool....i stopped listening to Tristania after "World of Glass" because "Ashes" sucked with the new female signer for real. And Mortems new project "Mortemia" wasn't that cool after all - i was a Fan of Sirenia also at the beginning, but only the two first Albums, At Sixes and Sevens, An Elixir for Existance was cool, and the Sirenian Shores EP. After that, it all sucked hard for my taste - and Mortem always exchanged the singer...with literally every Album...WTF?! You can't build a band up, when there's no stable Line-up. Thing is, all these bands nowadays with female singer sound 100% being replaceable, it's all very common, mainstream BS. Really liked the Sins of thy beloved, but the singer here looked since ever then, as if she was being on drugs, i mean, c'mon her eyes... :) /typo fix
Obrigado The Sins Of Thy Beloved por fazer parte dessa lista particular de coisas boas. Sucesso!
Falou tudo brother!
The Sins are absolutely special in the annals of whats considered Gothic Doom. Lake of Sorrow changed my life. Definitely my ears, anyway. At least what I enjoyed having go into them.
I started being a fan of TSOTB when I discovered in one of my brother's "junk" music playlist he had like 1000 other songs of different bands. This band stood out and perfect for me that was in 2006-07 not sure the accuracy so it's about 17-18 I've been a fan and this band still slaps. 🔥 a lot of generic bands nowadays sadly.
Nunca vi show tão desanimado kkk
The contrast between strength and darkness of a solid metal band and the purity of a cristal cleat perfect voice is pushed to the limit (& the sky is the limit) with The sins of thy beloved and anita auglend. Her talented and beautifull voice is missing so much !
Wow. Somehow I completely missed these guys 'till now. Very impressive. This looks like the distinctive stage in Warsaw that a few other classic gigs/videos have been filmed on?
This is an everlasting total masterpiece!! Such a perfect combination between Gothic- and Melodic Black Metal!! And with one of the metal godesses at microphone! ❤ Amazing!! \m/-_-\m/
Recomendo o álbum Beyond The Veil, do Tristania. O magnum opus do gothic metal
Anita Auglend moaning "ahh ahh" at 40:38 is my favorite part 🤣 Joking aside, I love old school gothic metal from 90s & 2000s eras Sadly, this kind of music may never return (Draconian is probably the only prominent one still staying true to the genre in 2020+) Records are hard to come by, therefore I regularly visit the graves of Spotify & RU-vid where their artworks are immortalized.
