They made the best decision to bring Kim Medcalf back as Sam. Bringing Daniella Westbrook back initially was a mistake, I know she’s the original but she can’t act anymore and Sam’s character pretty devolved during her time. Kim’s version made Sam’s character more multi-layered.

I found that quite strange too. It was a long break. Maybe she had other commitments and they allowed her the time off. She’s very private in real life so she hasn’t discussed anything about it.
WHY all the bloody returns?. We have had Ian (and you could get splinters as he is so wooden), we have had cheeky chappie Alfie, Cindy who is still the same devious old bag she ever was, and now Sam. Why doesn't;t Clenshaw go the whole hog and bring back Reg Cox. he should concentrate on tomorrow and not the 1980s.
Please don’t bring Lauren back. Just coz her dumb husband cheated on her and and she won the jungle with sympathy votes doesn’t mean she’s a good character. She comes and goes as she likes coz she’s a privileged person.
I would’ve agreed with you in 2017, I never liked her back then, but after seeing her guest stint this year I think the actress has matured a lot and she brings a more womanly approach to the character now. I hated when she used to act like a child.
