It's very nice that you share all this with Leon. It is SO important that we screen our kids for so much. I think my best friend in High School had that problem, wasn't seen early and was declared officially blind in one eye. We were both star tennis players, but he was also a star hockey player. He had to sue the school system in upstate NY where we're from to be able to play hockey. His dad was a lawyer. They won! It is still amazing to me how great a tennis player with one eye he was!🙏🙏🙏

What you describe with Leons sight is almost identical to what my glasses story was at his age. Like crazy similar with every detail...Now I'm in my 20s and my vision dramatically improved, I can easily go without glasses. Not needed for sport or driving. Although I hated wearing glasses when I was younger, I'm so thankful my mum was onto it as you are and saved my sight.

Thank you so much for sharing your sons eye issues & how you noticed it. Must have been quite upsetting to witness no doubt. I always thought (wrongly) that it’s something we may notice gradually, not out of the blue / acutely like that. An important lesson to learn for sure. Let’s pray his sight will improve with time and training. You’re on top of it which is the important part, rockstar mom that you are! If I can give one piece of advice, it would be to always seek second opinions by other professionals. I’m not saying the current specialist is bad. Not at all. Have learnt with age to always see several specialist when required because their thoughts & chosen treatment can very greatly. Have a lovely holiday Janni and enjoy the Swedish summer, family and the food! Hope more great weather than rain!

Janni, my best friend had a similar thing when he was young and wore an eyepatch for the reason you mentioned. At 25 he had surgery and now he is 31 and still sees perfectly.

That is so interesting about Leon. When my son was four, I noticed his eye turning in when he was coloring. Sure enough - he needed glasses! Pretty much the exact same prescription +6.00 and +5.25 . That is probably why some people thought there was something "wrong" with him when he would stare at the camera.....Nope... he just couldnt see...lol :) I will bet you have noticed a world of difference in Leon when he started wearing glasses - I know I did with my son. xx

So glad you caught Leon's need to wear glasses so soon my brother also had really bad eye sight when he was little and the best glasses are Lindberg! They are basically indestructable and very good for little kids because they are made of aluminium and are basically bendy and you can put them back together! Hope this helps!!

My 4 year old daughter has the exact same issue. Left eye squint. Now rocking glasses. Squint still happens though a bit especially when tired. Thinking of eye patch too.

I had the same eye problem when I was baby and wore glasses till I was 13 but then my left eye got as before and now I’m 28 and when I get tired my eye goes “inside” and I’m thinking about getting a laser surgery so I can solve it.

If you can’t find those glasses one day check between the bed mattress and box spring. Yea. That’s where I hid mine at that age. Happy you got them for Leon. 👍❤️ great parents!!! Elisa

In some countries such as norway you actually cant check that out that quick cause u need to wait for his age to get to a certain age or something.

I’m 59 and had the same problem at 2.5 years old….left eye only. I had a period of 10 years in my teens/20s that I didn’t wear glasses when the eye improved. The eye worsened and I now have a sigma in both eyes. Doesn’t show when I wear glasses. I recommend not using the patch without a second opinion. My eyes don’t focus at the same time now…..

Rhe same with my boy, but my doctor closed completely the good eye for 40 days. Then for 3 months, closed tje good eye for 3-4 hours daily. This way the weak eye, with the help of glasses start to be in use and strenghen itself

Janni you have lost a lot of weight I have not been on your channel for awhile and I have noticed the weight loss. Kids are getting so big. You are the happiest when you are in Sweden well that is how it looks on the video.

The sign don't mean the sisters, it means sisters! Hade it been "Systrarnas as Brödermas" the sign hade meant the sisters! It is the same as that of The Brothers means The Brothers and are brothers in a definite form. If it just had said Brothers, it had meant Brothers in indefinite form and could then be any brothers.
