The Sisters of Silence: Origins & History (Warhammer 40k & Horus Heresy Lore) 

Best Girls. Also their relationship with the custodes is probably the sweetest thing in 40k. They trust each other implicitly because of all the emperor's servants, only the custodes and the sister are unmarred by any history of heresey. Every custode learns sign language so he can communicate with his sisters. Hell they even color coordinate their outfits. It's literally the most wholesome relationship between any two Imperium factions. Everyone else is backstabbing or looking down on each other, meanwhile the sister's and custodes are just chilling.

So, I'm a new father who has found that his son loves to fall asleep on my tummy while we listen to 40k lore. Between you and Arch, you have managed to keep my son peacefully asleep more times than I can count. More importantly, thank you for making the lore entertaining and approachable-by keeping in character and displaying a rather masterful understanding of this subject matter, you've managed to make me a fan of a franchise I hardly knew existed a few months ago. Keep up the good work, and I suspect my son and I will be painting Astartes together in a few years.

The Emperor has been seen many times in the presence of the sisters of silence. The Emperor seemed entirely unaffected by the presence of nulls/untouchables. Indeed. I believe that to Him. Nothing is untouchable. Because he is on another level entirely.

The Ordo Sinister is most troubled by the presence of the Silent Sisters, but we do recognize their abilities and dedication to the Throne and mankind. They are warriors true.

The Sisters of Silence have, since I first heard of them, been one of my favorite parts of the lore of 40k. Watchers of the Throne is one of my favorite series to come out of the Black Library in quite some time, largely due to their presence. Excellent work, Historian.

Seriously one of the most underutilized Imperial groups in the 40K universe, I really hope they get some love in this current edition in the lore.

Ah, that opening is so cool but such a tease. 40k Theories giving voice acting to Warhammer quotes is a draw of the channel, so to have the character of Occulus voice-act someone else's memoirs, to filter himself through the perspective and emotions of a distant historical figure as best he can understand, was a real treat. But at the same time, I had my hopes up Occulus had dropped some unexpected detail about his background. Also: 6:10 *Laughs in Erebus*

Man the Sisters of Silence and the Custodes combo means you will lose guaranteed. Even Astartes can't stop this duo. Only a C'tan shard or Primarch can beat them and those are rare.

My most sincere thanks for committing this sequestered knowledge to record, noble Oculus; considering the dearth of information regarding the Sisters, this undertaking is impressive in its scope. A question, however, pervades my mind, and has done since the day that I first learned of the Silent Sisters’ existence: it being known that the Sisterhood are understandably due to their rarity kept close by the Emperor, beloved by all; and knowing that His status as a Psyker is without equal in the Galaxy (and this last fact might even prove the solution to said interrogative), how was He able to tolerate their presence? His presence in the Warp is said to rival a supernova, His soul so bright. As the Sisters are anathema to any given Psyker, one would think that having the Sisters on the same planet might disrupt even His connection to the Warp. i always saw the Custodes as the pseudo-progenitors/the basis for all of the imperium's super soldiers such as the Thunder Warriors/Astartes and the primarchs even tho they all vastly different and all are meant to achieve differing roles within the imperium they all share the basic fundamental designs i always saw this with the sisters of silence and the Sisters of battle. Yeah both are very different imperial organizations but both are very much similar to design hence when the Sisters of battle where formed i always thought that there was at the very least some inspiration from the null maidens.

One of my favorite units within the Imperium. I do wish their girls were *all* troops though. I'd like to take the swordswomen, but they're in a very crowded Elites slot and simply cannot compete with Custodes terminators or Dreadnoughts. We also need 40k rules for the Null Maiden's special transport. They work that out for 9th and I'll give forge world my credit card details.

Am I the only one noticing they're "soulless" and are essentially Gingers? Complete with red plumes (with some exceptions, of course). As ever, great vid, dude! I borderline watch your stuff with every major meal. Screw Netfliks!
