Idk why it’s always Ben but he said that his reasoning for the Captain was that he grew up with a more military all boys background and it was considered a man’s greatest weakness so he wanted the Captain to have (in his eyes) a crippling weakness.
Like... not everything has to be straight or gay. Not everything even has to have anything to do with that kind of relationship. There might be no straight explanation, but that doesn't mean it's automatically gay. There's no straight explanation for the sun. Because straightness is totally unrelated to the sun. The same applies in some cases here. (Although I do agree with you for some of it)
@@sally675 I'd think my meaning was pretty clear. A lot of this really has nothing to do with attraction or romantic relationships, thus it is neither straight or gay or any other orientation.

@@nemotheemo156 he’s gay and was (and I’m sure still is) in love with Havers but was too scared to tell him as he was scared what his reaction would be but also because it was illegal back then and he was scared of the consequences (I.e judged, unemployed, imprisoned). That’s why he buried the letter he wrote expressing his feelings that he planned on giving to Havers with a grenade so if the letter/box was found it would be destroyed in an instant.

Cis isn't really a thing for their generation. Those of us born in the early 80s didn't feel the need to pathologise the fact that people have a wide range of personalities, likes and dislikes, regardless of their sex.

When I first saw Bill when I was 10 and the representation of Gabriel was amazing and gave me a greater understanding of the trans community and normalised trans people and helped me come to terms with being nonbinary quicker
I think that is a very queer general experience lol I remember playing the wife to my (girl) best friend or playing the husband or boyfriend to anybody else (girl or boy) 😅😅😅 surprise I didn't realise earlier

I really want ghosts to have another season in which we get to learn more about Cap’s death and also more about him and Havers. Like I want Cap to suggest to Alison to try and find Havers and she does and he’s a ghost in a cemetery or war memorial or something not far from button house and Alison talks to Havers and for it all to be super sweet when she goes back and tells the Captain how Havers is a ghost and how he came back to England after the war was over to reunite with their battalion (aka came to reunite with the Captain because they’re both fruity icons) but sadly died because of maybe like a disease before he could. I need that gay angsty cuteness in my life.
Yonderland was *so* weird and wonderful! I'm envious of people young enough to have discovered it as kids but fear it might've been a little much for me at the time
that was one of the ones that was actually queer. it isn't like there's a lack of scenes with actual queer representation in their stuff, so why add stuff that isn't queer?

I think that there are a lot of LGBTQ+ people who were bullied at school and they finally find there voice so I'm proud that Ben get to play his part in this video tape gay people can do anything.
American here. I recently binged the UK "Ghosts" and loved it. I also coincidentally checked out "Bill" not realizing 'til it started that it was much the same group of people- so that was fun! I've been hopping from one "Ghosts" themed video to another here on RU-vid this evening, as the algorithm finds things I might like. I was curious whether "the six idiots" was a formal troupe, did some wikipedia-ing about "Ghosts," and found "Them There Productions" I look forward to finding and watching more of their fun quirky comedy!
