That was explained brilliantly and honestly.. gotta love it when a master admits he isn’t at the last two levels yet so can’t really comment. I’d like to hear more from this master and see demonstrations.

An excellent explanation of how an internal system works. I can recommend this video to anyone who wants to understand how internal training works, without fantasies, magic or mysticism, at least in its initial and intermediate-advanced parts. And I liked Master Yap's sincerity when he says "I can't say anything about this part, I don't master it."

Those variation in the spectrum aren't sealed to a single moment, technique, thought, feel or move, they can happen at any given time, anywhere, without you suspecting it, most of the time, without you really controlling it, but eventually, with enough attention to what you experience, you can later differentiate and realize what was really going on and what part was really playing a role in this or that moment. Your strength is nothing in the equation although it really is the start, it's more of a reflex, it does what it has to, no more, no less. Your aura is your composure, it is, pretty much like everything else, already 'trained' or prepared, the state of a part of you that keeps in consideration the other parts, as all do, the known and unknown, and considers a kind of line of arrow through time and space, through your life, it's your inner angle of approach to life and death state of being, to all that you know and don't know, you chose from your inner core, from under the hood, it is indeed a higher level of unification of the 'self' state. Emptiness is a 'deep' level where everything works its way out in balance, your intentions aren't overly dreaming about an end, it ain't trying to avoid a fear either, your fear is a flag, not even a warning, it's just an information that you ride along with everything else. In Emptiness, you don't necessarily 'forget' the self, the self simply takes into consideration the rest and whole of the 'universe' or all the rest that is around you, inside of you, really, it is not trying to make a difference in the mind or perception, it has no goal per say, it is merely taking its right place, no more, no less, it is an understated silent acceptance of everything that is in and out of you. Emptiness really, it is not even trying to make it about you either, it's a state of being one but not thinking it because the everything that makes you (all 'previous' levels) is as quiet as a calm pound and reflects exactly everything else with 'perfection', your inner noise of any level is flat and not interfering with the 'greater noise' you are undividedly part of and powerless to be otherwise. You cannot separated yourself from the air and everything else, you may think of air as an idea of something different than your skin, bones, mind, aura, spirit, but it's really just all a big soup and you may see the veggies in the soup, but the soup is the veggies, and liquid, and heat, and everything else, the bowl, and beyond time, a soup in the making with ingredients on the counter, a soup in the making ingredients being prepared, a soup in the making ingredients being cooked, a soup in the making served in the bowl, a soup in the making eaten and digested, a soup in the making thrown on the ground, all along, a soup nonetheless, always in the making. You may wish to make this or that, but at that level, your wishes are as erased and flat, you are a mere vessel in a vessel and simply act accordingly in simplicity. Emptiness is a state that transcends all times and spaces, you are not a Dr.Strange knowing/searching all universes and times all at once, it is simply a transcendental state of being. Most of us mostly go along all our lives at earlier levels, our state of being always fluctuating (always in fluctuation, the honing is hard and demanding), but rarely anywhere outside those 'early levels'. Sometimes we feel/see/perceive glimpse of other levels, most of the times we don't even notice let alone control any of it. It's like climbing a mountain, most of us remain in the valley, some will see a bit more landscape, some will try hard to venture further to the top, but eventually, once at the top, there is nowhere else to go, and there is definitely less ground to keep yourself in true balance at the very tip of the top, and almost '99.9%' of anything else is a tip down or imbalance, not much wiggle room for anything else, let alone for the complications/noises of the self, desires, dreams, emotions/emotional attachment (not saying it's wrong, not at all, just saying IT WILL definitely play in the unbalance of everything else), all this is inner noise is as weather, landscape, day/night and everything else will play in the unbalance of/from the 'exterior' noises and eventually you kinda realizes the very limitations of the state of being and what the extreme limitations of being this very top means, or else you are a 'fallen' in some way or another, not necessarily in a bad way, it is just you grasp and get a perspective on all it takes to be at that level and all You 'cannot allow' yourself to be or you end up not being at this very tip of the top of everything pushed and honed, because in the end, Emptiness is a measure beyond you and what makes you. Considering I most definitely don't have all this right or even explain it right because 1, life and death being more than mere words and ideas, now, maybe you can start to grasp what it means when a Master claims he cannot find a worthy student to pass on his knowledge and wisdom. All of this is a LOT, requires a LOT, will demand 'you' a LOT, you will first have to consider the basics and train them and get them right a LOT of time (another misconception of training, like we always do training the right way, which isn't the case, hence, you will have to pay very close attention to all training you do and learn from it, hone it, perfect it, otherwise, you will be bound on training wrong and building habits wrong without your conscious effort at paying attention to what you do and the results of it all), for the rest of your lifetime, it will require you, his student, to not abandon the path, and eventually even push it further, and mostly not turn against the path and venture as a fiend using your gem in all the wrong purposes or become a 'fallen angel' of some sort, this is what a Master seeks in worthiness, for the greater good of the legacy, not for your Guinness records or fame, simply for the continuity of the lineage of the art and knowledge of MASTERING. One of the rule of Jade states 'Consider a long road ahead, therefore, know how to prepare the spirit with loyalty, the body with perseverance' and this one really is a good angle to the approach and accomplishment of anything you will ever want or be required to. Thus, anyone can undergo this path, but in the end, it is not exactly for any 'kind' of one, you will have to adhere somehow to 'something' in order to not just be a 'nothing and anything' of this world of dumb tiktokers let's say ;) The path to progression requires progression. Good luck and enjoy.

"is as quiet as a *calm pound* and reflects exactly everything else with *'perfection',* your *inner noise* of any level is flat and not interfering with the *'greater noise'* you are *undividedly* part of and powerless to be otherwise. You cannot separated yourself from the air and everything else" Brilliant! Let us go through the keywords. When you *become empty* your mind is a *calm pond* undisturbed by chaos, you realize you are *perfect,* ie, complete, not lacking anything. Your *inner noise* is yi, your own heart, in harmony with the *greater noise,* Dao or Dharma (you might choose), which, in emptiness, you follow effortlessly, therefore *undivided.* I like this line of thought because avoids promoting violence. If you are at peace, you do or do not act upon any disturbance. You act (or not) *because* you are supposed to.

@@dimasgomez But, if you allow me to ask, in all thoughts and spirituality, as in all time and space, every master and student can rise and fall at any given time, and as such, when such a time arise, and the heart, the Yi noise is completely in disarray, in chaos, there is no order and nothing seems to connect properly in an 'heavenly' order, when you gain a sens for feeling the darkness around as heavy as a sinking black hole, how does one manage to transmute such a situation when peace resolution is not even what matters anymore, when after so much time debating, there just doesn't seem to be a way to see from the same eye and no one seem to be specifically wrong, the situation just doesn't work, and it's either walk away or clash, this dark noise feeling is such a drag, such a pull into the 'dark side', it is hard to manage and there is nothing heroic about it, it's hard to deal with such 'perfectnest' in my state some times.. Karma, oh Karma, Dao, whatever trick of the cosmos.. You know, those kind of situations in your life where you think to yourself 'I thought I was managing a 'good' middle ground, not too high, not too low, not too much, just enough, but at some point, your are telling to yourself, 'how did I ever put myself in such a situation and how do I avoid being here again, and there's really not an easy answer, easy thing to point and say, there, it's only that, this gear, change this one and everything is fixed, it's a huge watch system and many gears came into not fitting together, pretty much without the knowing of much all parties, just crashing together like galaxies and a bunch of dust and momentum just fumes around for a while and in the end, no one wins and everyone pays the price, life can be quite sad at times, quite unsatisfactory, chaotic and 'unreasonable', but really, it's always us not getting much of it all most of the times ;)

@matreyia
@matreyia 6 месяцев назад
The form with all its techniques is not the solution, but rather it is what the form and all its techniques teaches you in terms of principles that matters. So if you look past the form and techniques and penetrate into the principles that drive those forms and techniques, then you won't need to rely on knowing every technical form or motion and you can apply the actual principles to spontaneous shapes or positions without the need to recall finite robotized motions. You basically can 'converse' freely with anyone in any situation regardless of their style (language).

@@nikolatrbojevic253 it's called suchi veda. Suchi means Needle and veda means scripture or theory or words. Frank Ros has a book on it. But shaolin sent missionaries to India and learn many not just Bodhidharma. Here, shen and kong are internal state that most artists don't. This you will understand in zen. It's due to ego. Ego blocks the release of jin and mind. So it's above mind aka consciousness or Zen or no mind or mushin state. Normally hypnosis ,lucid induction ,psychedelics in micro doses or meditation etc used to sustain the shen. Yet chi or ki has ego and its impure. The divine force is above than shen State, or emptiness State. It used in healing and other magics. Not just exclusive to Chinese martial arts but all anime or fourth dimensional arts. The man who mastered inner can do outer world or even change the universe or world as both are one. Yet humans don't enter due to ego. It's rather a relaxed state, unified energy as body as one force, used in thandava or cosmic Leela or games or etc. There are many ways of releasing apart from no resisting effortless way as you may know. Emotions play a big role based on conscience and truth. The inner heart is the shen and zen. This is why they repent mend and practice zen. In martial art it's more of an attaining game so they end up with ki. In Zen they go higher than ki as ki can only move by touch or if in close distance. The next one is remote and macro effect on the universe like telekinesis or psychokinesis. The later is very advanced. The tibetten tummo is similar and the science behind it all the same regardless of Chinese India Africa or terminologies.

Most of these principles have thousands of years and are not property of any specific system, not unique to Kong Fu, nor even China. They pervade Chinese medicine, QiGong as well as Ayurveda, etc. Most can be traced back to the first embrionary texts of Dao and Yoga. My best guess is that it was originally a system of five, written with very simple characters, as a Daoist school would insist. Around one thousand year later, it might have been adjusted to six by the buddhist monks, who added The Void -- since they could not accept _shen_ as divine intellingence, _buddhi._ Some of them might have changed over time, but we can still correlate them to Sanskrit. In the Dao De Jing alone you might find the simpler, original characters. The obvious example is 力 instead of 勁 (Japanese still uses it for strength AND energy). The linguistical historical process of aglutination alone proves it, consisting of putting more characters together over time to say the same thing, or to be more specific. Of course, there were new developments and newer understandings, but without much effort, we can think of a few good sanskrit or old chinese words for jin, yi, qi, sun, chen and kong, like 心 (xin1, sanskrit citta, same indoeuropean radical, etc.) and nirvana (lit. no form, errouneously meaning samadhi). This mistake is so common that the poor master in the video himself falls for it, confusing *kong* (~samadhi?) with nirvana, saying that he does not understands "the void". His serenity alone, his voice alone denounces how deep in the void he already is, such a wise person, by definition, lives in it. But living the void is taken as a sinonymous of nirvana, so he humbly denies how happy, "in the zone", he is when he talks about these things. No martial artist can perform without the void. It is not a "Bruce Lee" mythical state. It is just been present, your whole being.

To develop "Emptiness"... You have to Discipline the Subconscious Mind (the internal voices / thoughts in your head). In order to achieve this... takes about 100 consecutive days, of One Hour long, Silent Mediation sessions. You have to keep your mind tied up with a Certain TASK... so that it can not "Wander". This task, is quite simple: Just count out the length of each Inhale, and Exhale, ..in Seconds. For example... Breathing in: One - One-Thousand, Two - One-Thousand, Three - One-Thousand... etc. Exhale: One - One-Thousand, Two - One-Thousand, Three - One-Thousand... etc. - The "One-Thousand" is added to each number, to make sure that your timing is accurate to actual seconds. - You want to do these practice when and where it is Silent / Very Quiet... such as very late at night.. or very Early in the morning hours, before most have waken up. - It is Best to lay down on your back, in your bed. Arms relaxed at your your sides. Close your eyes. - Take 5 long, very slow and well controlled... Deep Breaths... to start to calm yourself down... before starting... - Starting, and During the entire Mediation... you dont want your breath to be stressful. You want to use a more relaxed / natural breathing, instead. - You can add visualization to this.... And in my case... I personally like to draw the numbers out in the air... as if I were writing them in virtual sand. This added visualization, can help even more, to keep your mind completely busy. - When you first start... Your Subconscious mind will try to FIGHT you over this... as it does Not want to be Disciplined. It will usually start out, by making you "Itch" various parts of your body. It also might try to give you certain "Cramps". The goal will be, to try to make you physically move. Resist these urges, and eventually, they will go away. - Do not move any part of your body, for the entire duration of the Meditation session. If you dont move, about 7 to 10 minutes in... and your BODY will start to go into "Sleep Mode", where it will start shutting down various bodily functions, like digestion, and physical movement operations. WARNING: One your body has been put into sleep-mode... IF you try to move your arm at that moment... your arm will not move. Dont Panic. It will take about 60 seconds, before your body Boots back up into full Waking mode... and at that point, you will be able to move your arm. However, at that exact moment of movement... your arm will move very slowly, and will feel very Heavy. Similar to the feeling, if you have ever slept on your own arm. Thats because your circulation has not fully reached its waking speed, and pressure levels. The tingling and heavy feeling, will gradually go away, as your circulation reaches its full waking state. - Mediation training, is similar to putting a young child into "Time Out" (standing in the corner, looking at the wall... doing nothing, for an extended period of time). The Child will do everything it can to try to Rebel. It will typically try to run away from the spot. It may start to try to get the attention of the adult, and Manipulate / Reason their way out of the punishment. And as the Adult... to make the punishment work... you have to "Break" them... to the point where they will Obey your rule. This means, that every time they try to escape the corner... you pick them back up, place them back in the corner... and tell them that you are starting the Punishment timer, all over again... thereby extending their punishment time. You can not "Give In" nor "Compromise" at any time... or they will revert back to their original state. You also need to enforce this same punishment, at every instance of the bad behavior(s). Eventually the Childs mind, will realize that it cant get away with being "Naughty", nor can it manipulate its way out of the Punishment. At that point, or a few more repeated session... and its Actions will permanently change. Its the same with your Subconscious Mind. You need to do these sessions, every single day. You shouldnt skip a single days session. You should never make your sessions shorter than one hour. Nor should you temporarily stop in the middle of a session, to do something else. Any "Rests" in this process.. and the Subconscious mind may not take your efforts seriously... and will continue to repeat its normal chaotic ways. However, after about that 3 month period... eventually your Subconscious mind will "Break", and will become like a very Obedient Dog... waiting SILENTLY for your Commands.. rather than a pack of wild puppies, pulling you in every direction, and randomly barking loudly, within your mind. Once you have Achieved the "Quiet Mind" state... your mind will either be 100% Silent (as you choose).. or very close to perfect silence. At that moment, you can stop your daily meditation sessions... as this Change within your brain, is Permanent. Something to note... is that Scientists have recently proven, via MRI Brainscans... that Mediation over many months, physically changes peoples brains. They noticed that the brains physically grew in Density, and Connections. This Quiet Mind state... will improve the Quality of your Life, 1000 fold. As once your mind is free of internal distractions... you can FAR more fully enjoy every single moment, of the Present (the GIFT). You will be able to learn new things.. like 3 times faster. You will also have a much greater level of Expanded Consciousness. All of which plays a huge factor.. in Combat abilities... as in combat... you cant have even a moments level of distraction... nor any lapse in bodily awareness / focus. Of course, then you also need the 1 hour long, slow-motion FORMS work.. to both develop your Body differently... but also... to further EXPAND your bodily awareness, and 3d spatial awareness, to a whole other level. This also will likely take several months of efforts. At minimal... do a 1 hr long session, every other day... for at Least 3 consecutive months. It may take longer, depending on your own personal levels of developments. I also recommend learning Yogic Breathing exercises... and practicing them at various times, throughout the day/night. Most especially, to develop separate control of your upper lung, and low abdomen. Breath-Packing, is also a good exercise. These exercises can more than Double your lung oxygen holding capacity... as well as develop special internal muscles (that might not be able to be fully developed... via typical normal physical exercises). I had spend 3 years doing daily 1hr mediation sessions. As well as doing yogic breathing exercises... regularly. I believe it took about 3 months to reach the Quiet Mind state. I just kept going... to see how far down the rabbit hole, I could go. I was also on a sort of "Spiritual Quest", to better connect with G0d. I believe I satisfied that connection level, and far more.. so I stopped at that 3 year marker. Maybe a year or so later... I started training in Wing Chun. Due to my training with specialized breathing methods... I was able to incorporate these Lost breathing methods, into my Martial Arts movements... for FAR greater power output capabilities. These ancient Chinese arts, USED to have very in depth Breathing methods, being taught and practiced, regularly. However, after the Industrial Revolution Period... a lot of these arts Lost their understanding and value, of these methods. A lot of teachers stopped teaching them, altogether. And... eventually, the Original methods were Lost.. and Corrupted into a FAR INFERIOR version, of its former self.
@johndough8115
@johndough8115 7 месяцев назад
I will add... that a lot of the so called Modern Monks... teach a version of Mediation, in which you allow your mind to wander freely... and just to "Acknowledge" each thought that comes into your mind. That method, is what I call the "1000 year method". Its highly ineffective... and many of these monks will spend their Entire lives.. never fully reaching the Quiet mind state... let alone the experience of "Waking Nirvana" (Pure Bliss / Euphoria, from the Direct Connection to the Heavens / God) Ive attained both, in far less time... due to using the superior, mind disciplining, process. Mediation is exactly the Opposite of allowing your mind to wander. Nor do you want to "Split" your mind further. You want to discipline your subconscious mind... AND.. to have it start to do actual WORK for you, instead of against you. For that to take place.. you have to take control, and show it whom is the Boss.

@@Antonio_Leyva Eventually, each system is a version of The system, the very same unique mind and body, every art has a name but really it's just a set of movements the body allows and are honed and trained. Eventually, you do not consider being/using just this or that art, you have and must integrate everything that comes your way into your self and grow from and with it. You are the constant, you are the resulting mix of everything and from you spurs all this acquired past and training into something moving on forward, at every single moment. And eventually, perhaps you will 'claim'/build a 'new system' but it will all be just the same, simply another option you discovered and that we shall all build on and strengthen ourselves with or discard as being unworthy. There is a lot to life, but there is 'only one way to mastering' and many ways to get lost ;)

@@Antonio_Leyva The method I described, is from the time when I was on a path to higher enlightenment. I read various books about various Mediation methods. Experimented with Guided audio meditation CDs / Tapes, as well as Chakra & Color Bath meditations. In addition, I picked up a book, titled "Breathing". I was shocked that it have over 100 pages, dedicated to just that subject. Then I skimmed a little of it, and was amazed at the stuff inside of it. I specifically chose to only use like two of the methods within it (A lot of it was simple variations of the core technologies). Think about this... It was a Monk from India that traveled to Shaolin, whom taught the Monks the foundational technologies, of what would become Shaolin Kung Fu. This most certainly, including Yogic breathing methods. While the Chinese methods tend to have different Visualization methods... IMO, you can use other forms of visualization methods... such as in one of my meditation tapes.. which had you visualize the suns beams, beaming on to each part of your body... individually. You moved the light, slowly, as if it were a lamp... from one part of the body to the next. This Healing light, also seems to develop special Internal Awareness / connections... that other forms of mediations, do not accomplish. Also, some of the Chakra meditations.. where you needed a specific color, into a specific place... I recognized were very similar to a meditation on my CD.. that had you fill up your entire body with a certain color, and then going through each of the other colors, one by one. I seemed to have the same results, using either one. However, I felt that the color bath version, was both easier... and seemed to feel better than the chakra version. As such... It appears that many people tend to Over-Complicate these processes.

@@johndough8115 One last question: Have you seen the kind of skills that Master Yap displays? Are you able to replicate them or show others of equivalent level after following the method you have mentioned? If you have acquired that level through videos, tapes and books, I can only consider that you are a genius 😯

Energy is the "same", just at different magnitudes (think octaves), it is what happens when you multiply things. Hard to explain very easily if you are not a friend with math. Random example. 11111111^2 = 123456787654321 11111111^2 / 11 = 11223344332211 11111111^2 / 11^2 = 1020304030201 everything in this world goes throug multiplication, not addition. but it is not the "sum" or "counting number", it is about symmetries. Uncalled for black pill - meaing of life is to detach from this world and no reason (trickery) to reincarnate back to this poophole. Demiurge wants you to choose light. Dont. Anyhow. Mayne im wrong. It now got me thinking about it. Should we burn our bodies to do that? For what reason old munks are "tried up"? So they cant reincarnate back? Like "effyou, demurge"?? Important - feels like im not here for a long time. If not dead because of decent valid reason, then whacked by satanist/gov (2 attempts by now). Other fun stories. Got my hand bone broken. Was healing, and doing stretching movemnts, smth like grabing a ball. Used "V shape tinfoil line and pin" to make it more ineresting. Fast whirl because of convection and/or easily absorbable free qi. Got and idea, i put a jar over it.... It took mne a little while, think of expanding field, not centered point attention, but ball attention. Okhay, I got it moving. 1) both hands 30cm away, jaw in the middle 2) 2 meters away.

@THE MARTIAL MAN Hey man, from my experience, tbh, people think waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much about all of those individual things that he is explaining about! Which causes a mental then physical blockage about all those things that he is explaining about in the mind and body! Lol The problem is people see all this stuff man then they honestly get so hung up on and about it all that it totally stops and prevents everyone from gaining any skill or moving forwards and advancing in all of those things! You want the solution to fix that problem which is to do the opposite about thinking too much about all these things that he's explaining about and just stop thinking about it all which will unblock your mind and body natural flow so you can continue and move forwards and actually get somewhere with all this shit without thinking about it too much which will stop you getting hung up on it all way too much and stop you from pretty much being a puppet 😂 lol 👋 😂 The last emptiness thing that he is talking about is wuji theory thing they talk about in taiji, nothingness is exactly what it means! "Nothingness!" Lol you don't think about anything! Lol taiji is simply from nothingness comes taiji lol then taiji splits into 2 yin an yang! Lol then to 4 then 8 16 32 blah blah blah then back to wuji nothingness again! Lol it's as simple as that! Lol lol 😆 🤣

It is a long road ahead, everyone is coming from their own unique angles, there is no way to tell what you (being anyone) will really be exposed to in what order, eventually it is up to you to absorb and digest it all, make proper sens of and train it properly, let alone hone and push it in yourself. It is not wrong information, it is information you simply must retain and give proper priorities to, and this is up to anyone in accordance with everything. Eventually comes a time, an age where you revisit (and can at any given time in your life) those knowledge/concept and deepens them with other things you kept picking up along the way, it is your responsibility to untangled and make sens and proper use of all knowledge and wisdom that is given to you along your life road. Before we can write books, we must all learn every single letters, make 'boring' (yet so valuable since everything else will be build on those basic training, if trained 'wrong' and with no attention, will build up bad/wrong habits that will be harder to correct later on), writing exercises, then we learn the basic rules of the language, structure and paragraphs, then we learn style in the writing, we learn style in the art (scifi, romance, etc), then we learn all along we are talking pretty much about the same thing, human experiences and/or from a human point of view. It is a lot of details that we all must come around to at some point or another, steps are required and not everyone is at the same steps at any given time. He did mention the analogy of going to school, it will never stop you from seeing people accomplishing great things at university level but you will have to admit and accept at what school level you happen to be and progress from there. It is the way life and death be, to overcome blockages of all sort, whether it comes from the outside or simply from your own self, which no one else controls and to hone and push those gems, those knowledge and wisdom that was endowed to you, hence why these days, there is a price for those classes, sure it helps the dojo keep in function, but back then, the payment was simply students doing chores, today, we have another kind of life beat, but nevertheless, students must understand/develop a sens of the value of what is being thought and transmitted, and really, not amount of money can ever equal the value of what is passed on in any decent martial art school. PS : Dare I say, you relatively summed it all up quite 'easily' and shortly, with a needless mocking approach, but from those very few words, would you say that any student can pick up from your simple small text and understand and transcend all the art you have already absorb in your lifetime of cogitation and meditation ? Would you claim you brought a simple and concise 'key' to accessing everything you merely mentioned and that anyone can derive a much precise mastery of concepts, techniques and results ? If not, it is probably that we must acknowledge the road to mastery is far and long as the Jade rule says 'Foresee a long road ahead, prepare the mind with loyalty, body with perseverance'.

Without a strong body especially the legs its pointless feeling chi '' the container has to be strong and pliable hence EXPERT martial masters emphasised standing '' 2 years for master sun lu tang and Ben Lo ' intention cant be clear with physical blockages '' emptiness or void is that which operates from the sub consciousness mind without the slowness of thought ' LOL 😊
