believe me, if you came here for teh flex...just wait till the end. I promise to deliver. And just think of the kind of air that 2 24" subs are moving in the shop...shit falling all over the place :D I did this live on Instagram so follow my channel for raw exclusives sometimes days before it hits YT! instagram.com/meade916
guys - FYI because people keep asking...this box is going in my sons Yukon. It will replace the 2 pride 12" subs and be ran off 2 Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bdcp amps. Stay tuned. This thing KILLS my shop i hope it does just as good inside the vehicle. It SHOULD! Antheny's channel is ru-vid.com give him a follow!
Awesome video! Great enclosure build and that's the first time I've seen 24's moving that far in a public video - love the slow-motion showing just how much those giant cones are moving. :D
you never cease to amaze me SMD! Build this and with the all extras into a custom sealed car float with sofas and shit, so you can take over every car-show. World Domination baby.
Steve, your work never fails to amaze me. Nothing but time spent, and quality tools and material. I've got a bit of bass envy going on. Hope the business is doing well, sure looks like it!
I went thru all these videos and all i can say is badass dude, it makes me miss car audio, i never had an awesome sound system when i was younger but always enjoyed the build and installation, makes me feel like doing a build with my son, awesome build bro.
Steve that was INSANE flex on those woofers! I can't wait to see the SMD logo all lit up. I'd give anything to be in the shop when you were testing those! Mad love brother! 👊🏻
I've been watching you since the beginning of this build actually way before you probably decided to build this box but the skills you have as I've been watching you built this box are simply unique and the only way to put it is that box is beautiful that is Master craftsmanship a pure work of art a lot of hard work and a lot of Blood Sweat and Tears good job man
Slapulating no doubt! Damn I need to go to take a small nap! It's 7:15 here in Chicago, I spent my Sat. night on RU-vid 😂😂 All bass and slamology videos haha. Keep up the goods ✌️ bro 😎
Awesome, I've run two 18's started loud sound autos 1968,,age 65 now,, going for 18 ultimax (1) 3 cuft no port, steel bolts internal brace.. I'm seeing 0 float on and that's DC or square wave,, OMG it reminds me of Huntsville 40 foot horns, titanium drivers, love car bass in home setting.. 💙
I can remember searching Rockford Fosgate on here about 9 years ago when I discovered a vid of you building Chickens escalade. Been nothing but audio porn ever since. Was out of the game for years, but you got me hooked again. Damn you Meade!
and by the way I know I showed mad love for this video but Steve I been watching and listening and supporting you since you first was on a E-40 track I was very impressed back then and you been going hard as hell since before that so just givin props where props is due
My cinema sub was trying to get down with them 24s LMAO. The shit sounded pathetic. Always impressed with your builds. The quality is real. Can not wait to see the finished product!
Hey Steve! Can you explain how you wiring your subs ? I've seen a vid on your civic one of your old vids when you had just 2 amps on your 2 RE 18 then you added 2 more amps an you said 2 subs 4 coils . Trying to figure out did you strap them ?
You have definitely evolved from making awesome designs to actually making high-end sick designs troughout. I watched your videos years ago man. Highly appreciate you still sharing videos. Im currently located in Thailand but Im thinking of getting a sick design soon (Mercedes Benz Sprinter long version, 4x24 inches etc...), hopefully you`re up for a challenge mate, but no promises, so much shit to do nowadays.
For shits n gigs it would be neat to see how much this set up weighs. You could always have people guess and whomever gets it right wins fuseholder or terminal cup or something. I’m guessing there is at least one or two other people that are curious about total weight.
Steve how are your ports so tiny? I've always learned to look at the port air velocity and get it below 20 m/s (about 65 feet/s). Please let me know, I'd love to learn from the master! Great job on the box, I love Sundown audio =).
Oh shit thanks for the like Steve, I hope you play that! I'm currently waiting on batteries and fuse blocks before I can start my build, I'm DYING to hear that song on a proper system - other than the video you posted a few weeks back! Much love brother, the box looks KILLER now that it's done. I noticed a bit of box flex in the video, do you plan on adding more braces or is it just the camera playing tricks on me? Keep up the awesome work!
Man I don't think I'm alone here, I would love to see a box made completely out of plexiglass. I know it would be expensive from what you said just this one piece cost but maybe a small box for all your fans and to really show your skills. Give all those haters something to choke on. Nevertheless man love your work keep em coming.
I'd hate to be a neighbour with this sub around the shop.. bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumbbb! Brruuuuuuuuummmmmmm!! (rattle rattle rattle)... :) I'd love to see how much air is moving in through those ports.... Keep up the good work dude...
Nowadays I only run a single sealed 12" (need the room) 500wrms sub and people where I live think that it's "extreme". People ask me how I can hear the music with "All that bass". I ask them what bass ? This just fills in the low end a bit.
Steve the plexiglass came out nice and the box looks amazing .... got to watch the whole process from scratch ....AMAZING.... is all I can say, thank you for considering the plexi it made the cab. Those speakers are amazing, how much excursion can they produce +/- full tilt ?
