Hey Christina, thanks for sharing this. Just remember that having a private server on MJ only hides your images and prompts from the main feeds in discord. However, all your creations are still visible publicly in the main gallery. There is a workaround for that, though.
@@emanuelec2704you have to remember to turn on stealth mode to keep the images from being published to the main gallery. Don't know why the OP didn't just say that. Edit: stealth mode is only available for $60 and up plans.
Wow, this is an absolutely great idea! Good thing I am selling 12,600 Midjourney prompts that I might try to use now to make those framed art masterpieces. Thank you so much for this video!
At 3:46 for anyone who is new and can't find Team, click on the double-person icon on the top right to make Team appear. I'm new to this and was having a hard time finding it 4:13 Make sure to leave a space after typing settings, if not it won't work
Thought what you're calling TV art, has always been known as a wallpaper. Some of them are animated..like a fish tank on the computer monitor or television.
You can create a carosel.of smart tv designs by getting digital art or NFT's and having buyer add to a specific wi'-fi folder than connects to the tv. They change as they want or have have just one that is as vibrant as they TV. More effort. Higher price point. Have to work out some details after the hours on main shop and will report back.
Thanks for the video more from the point of how to use Midjourney, had a bit of difficulty figuring it out. I'm just goofing around with it but wanted to ask if you generate a picture and there is a persons signature in the lower corner does that mean you can't use it? Paying gives you license but....just curious.
Question, the format should be in JPEG? Can we also put the file in PNG as Midjourney usually gives? Would it not be better as PNG since it's (according to my understanding) better quality? Thanks!!
How are you able to get a sufficient upscale with Midjourney? To be on a tv screen don’t they need to at least be 4000 x 4000 ? I don’t think Midjourney upscales them enough so I usually use a 3rd party upscaler
I have some Midjourney images on my 44” TV (not a frame TV) that I haven’t upscaled. For some reason the TV resolution results in a fantastically sharp & beautiful image. The TV is a Samsung. I can’t vouch for any other brand.
This is awesome! But you mention that it’s not a printable download. Why not? The resolution is good so confused why it can’t be a printable download. 🤔
It will be interesting to see in the next few years how much people embrace AI, or if it will take generations for AI to become mainstream. Or maybe, AI will never take over. The part of me that loves to learn new things wants to dig into AI and try it and see how it works. A bigger part of me wants to preserve the beauty of working on things with your hands and putting time and love into creating. Personally, I think the "perfect imperfections" that you get with handmade goods adds value to products. And I think curators see the value also in creating with the mind and hands that God gave us. So, what happens to the purity of artwork and painting in the face of AI? What happens to woodworking when 3-D printers make things without human supervision? Many, many other examples. But it is nice that even after the industrial revolution, people still embrace the value of handcrafted goods, like knitting and sewing. It is kind of sad to see these art forms lose value because of money ruling the world like it does. But maybe, just maybe, AI makes handcrafted goods even MORE valuable. Time will tell. In any case, thank you for reading my little rant, and thanks for posting the thought provoking content! 🙂
I 100% agree. AI both excites me and scares me like crazy! To see it be able to do videos now is wild and Im always in awe. But the pace in which its evolving is crazy! I hope it does slow down lol. And agreed that theres a whole group of people that would value handmade over AI. Just like people care of sustainable clothing over fast fashion!
There’s no going back from what I’am seeing. There are more and more generators every day and MJ comes out with newer and better versions at a pace that’s difficult to keep up with.
Question: When you’re adding the listing to Etsy for AI generated images, do you still choose “I made it” from the drop-down? And is there anywhere you have to add the AI software you used (Midjourney, Kittl, Ideogram, etc.) as a production partner or anything?
If you could do a video on explaining to people how to get these graphics onto their tvs, that would be great because I’m sure many will message asking. Also, what’s up with all the crypto trading comments…
If your audience needs "Whoosh" in the first two seconds, they are probably an audience not interested in learning. Assume your good audience is interested and please don't inundate us with sound effects. Normal people have been listening to others for tens of thousands of years without the speaker requiring sound effects to keep the audience listening.
Im confused i do 16:9 ar in midjourney and upscale twice but when i add to canva they do not match i have to stretch them out. What am i doing wrong? In canva i use a 3840 x 1680 pixels design mat but when i add the art it doesn't fit. HELP
Why do you put it in Canva. I never put my upscaled Art in Canva. Canva will downscale it. It doesn’t have the capacity to upscale to 300 dpi. Just 72 dpi. I only use Canva for the mock-up photos cuz it doesn’t matter.
Thanks for the informative video. I find it odd that you are drawing so many negative people. You are showing a method to use tools to make a living. I didn't notice that you used any artist's names or copied their unique styles to create your images. You used words like "oil painting, pastels." are these complaining artists saying they don't paint in oils or acrylics or watercolors or pastels? Maybe I'm being simplistic, but very few artists have learned their art without copying art from their masters, no matter their school of art. I agree that I should not be able to tell the AI to paint the blue balloon dog of Jeff Koons, yet even Jeff Koons, in his "Antiquity Series", for example, outright copies art from people like Praxiteles, Manet, and others directly, adding his touches to these famous sculptures and works of art. Love or hate his art, he's hailed as one of the top "creative" artists in the world. Thanks again for trying to show us a way.
Thank you so much! AI videos just draw this type of crowd so its very expected and get these comments any time I use AI in a video lol. Some people embrace AI and are excited by it, while others very much hate it. I get peoples worries with AI but theres no fighting it, might as well learn how to use it and how to benefit from it instead of gettign angry on peoples videos about it! I think every great innovation that causes such a big disruption will always be met with some resistance
I wouldnt add them to a POD store since they arent POD! people could get confused if youre selling half digital downloads and half physical products. So if you want to do these id open another store! I have a seperate digital store
I have a hybrid store. (Digital & POD) would just add a category for TV Art. People can add these on regular TV’s too. I did it on mine. Frame TV’s are really expensive so I fear limiting the audience. But make sure to label your mock-up “digital download”. My opinion. Etsy’s charging for new shops now. Plus you have to leave credit card info in more than one place. I would rather keep it simple. Just my opinion.
@@traveloasis8389 great tips! Sounds like a good idea to keep one store. I’m hesitant to open another one because I don’t want it to get shut down with the bots. Thank you!
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I followed you step-by-step but got stuck at 12:13. I typed in /image but the little prompt box didn't pop up. Did you enter something to make it pop up? Thanks
I don't get it! I don't understand what "tv frame art" actually is. If it's not wall art, why are all those Etsy mockups showing them as framed wall art?
Theres new TVs that allow you to make your TV look like art when you are not using it. So people are downloading these, uploading them to their TV art section. So while they look like wall art- its actually a TV! Look up the Samsung Frame Tv
Thank you so much for your video. My questions are: (1) Wouldn't you need to vectorize the images to ensure the pixelation remains sharp when a customer prints it? and (2) How is a customer supposed to print that large of an image? Do they have pay and have it done at a print center?
The tv frame art is meant to be digitally displayed on the tv. The art is uploaded one of several ways. And one doesnt need a samsung just a smart tv. So the actual art created for tv frame art is not intended to be printed out so no need to set the dpi to 300..hope that helps
NO. Real artists put a lot of time and money into their craft. You didn't create anything. AI stole from real artist's body of work to come up with these images. It's unethical to profit off of stolen images especially since artists struggle to get eyes on their art and sell it. I have 50+ years experience painting and I'm telling you this is hurting artists. I hope people eventually get tired of AI generated images...and since you are trying to make the art look like someone actually painted it, perhaps it's already at that point. The old masters are probably rolling over in their graves.
Its legal so... people complained canva made graphic design too easy, even new thing is met with this resistance but the world is headed towards more and more AI. I drew portraits which is now done by others using AI so i pivoted
I also draw landscapes by hand. There will be still a market for handmade just as theres a market for Sustainable clothing among fast fashion but still AI isnt going to disappear
It might be legal, but it's not morally right... You saying you've drawn this and that 🤣I've had full paintings plagiarized as an artist not a nice feeling at all... Most of us have pivoted to digital art but AI.. 👎 You justifying it nope... Unsubscribed
It’s as simple as this…you do not have to use it, you do not have to like it…but it’s done. It is here. The genie cannot be put back in the bottle. So you can continue to uselessly whine on the internet about it with no power whatsoever to change it or you can learn about it and start talking about how this as a tool can be used to SUPPORT artists. I personally use AI for a fuck ton of concept art that I send to my hired artist to recreate. And considering we have a language barrier it has been massively helpful for us to bridge the gap for my children’s book brand. It is time that artists realize that while it is unfortunate their work was stolen (I absolutely agree) there’s nothing that can be done. Generative AI is so rapidly getting to a point you can even tell that it’s AI. By next year no one will know. No one will be able to prove it. So will you still just be going on about it or will you have started to talk about how this tool can support artists?
@@kriskoeh6901 ... I totally agree with you on all those points use it or not... Not whinging, having a healthy discussion.... And as an artist, I pivoted to do other things also in art... I also bolstered my legal team, to remind others it's morally wrong. The intent you put out into the world will come back to you. So I'm happy either way to watch how the AI community plays out.
Please remember the artists whose work was stolen to create these AI things. The ethics are something worth researching. Realizing this might not be the space for me.
This may make you money but this terrifies me. Without my art my disabled life becomes a lot smaller. It's a big fear. Please remember the people who created the original art you might otherwise put on a shirt or something.
@@emmikate I create my own Print on Demand designs (besides sometimes using AI to help make vectors when I cant draw them, but those are just in addition to my design)- this is just another side hustle idea for people who dont like physical products! I used to do pet portraits which i had to stop doing because AI made it easier for other people to do it cheaper. Unfortunately if the tech is there people will use it and AI is growing faster than anything I've ever seen. Many things will be changed by AI! There will always be a need and want for REAL portraits though and real artists but it may be different in the future. I hope your art continues to flourish, real art will always hold value over AI
@@jd2161AI art can't be ethical. Literally paid not a soul to create and stole art as it's foundation. That isn't inspiration. inspiration isn't AI art. It's inspiration like the creation of the lightbulb being invented by Edison not his tank of workers. Cameras wouldn't be using a software trained unethically. It's like stealing a copyright image and just reproducing it as your own. Except the law doesn't care about artists and protect them. This is different. I don't have the energy to explain how. Show me an AI art software where they only used art from paid artists who knew their work was being used. AI in so many industries should be really given more thought. Just because greed makes this more and more popular doesn't make it ethical. It's not digital art vs hand drawn. The source is artist who do not consent. Period.
@@emmikatenobody paid the ppl they took inspiration from either, they just profit, the only difference is its nit a human doing it, im not saying i agree with designs that are straight rip offs, but I truly do believe Ai will get better with time (and lawsuits)
