Maybe it's just because of how inconsistent Gumball's character feels to me, but this episode does feel like they flanderized Gumball's character. But the episode is still funny, especially the ending.

I really like how tobias wasn't TOO arrogant in this episode. Every other episode he has been in shows how arrogant he is, but this episode shows a side to him I barely ever see. I personally find it refreshing

I just love the ending, Gumball's been waiting for this slap then when he finally gets it he gets outraged and says "HOW DARE YOU! YOU'VE GOT SOME NERVE YOUNG MAN THERE ARE RULES IN THIS SOCIETY AND CASUALLY SLAPPING PEOPLE'S BUTT'S IS NOT ONE OF THEM" I didn't expect the ending and kept laughing and replaying it, I remember trying to watch another episode and accidentally clicked on this one and I think this was really funny and the comedy and dialogue really got me laughing

I love how this episode came right after "The Blame", which explored real-world issues and engaged in an ongoing debate (do video games cause stupidity and violence?) with laser-targeted satire. Then this episode comes along and its about nothing more complex than someone wanting to get slapped in the butt.

I do like how it shows that Tobias might not be aware enough to know that everyone wouldn't like it, he at least knows that gumball wouldn't. I don't know if it's cause gumball is just vocal in what he likes but I do like that dynamic and how Tobias might be close enough already or knows gumball enough to not slap his butt.

This one's pretty good, but personally The One is my favorite Tobias episode, it's insanely high quality, with one of the best songs I've ever heard in the series, one of my favorite jokes, being the interaction between Tobias and Carrie, and then of course the entire episode is a parody of The Highlander, which is an amazing concept in of itself

I think Gumball should have looked at it this way: Maybe Tobias didn’t slap him on the butt because he considers his feelings about it. He did say he thought Gumball would hate that. I have wondered why Tobias would care about what Gumball thinks if he slapped him but he never did with everyone else he slapped. Maybe he’s considerate of him but who knows. But this is the weirdest episode I’ve watched.😅

I first watched this episode when I heard PhantomStrider defend it in the honourable mentions in his Top 6 Worst Gumball Episodes countdown. when I watched it, though, I found why it was recommended for that list
