When I worked at a casino...the tix that people left on the floor or on machines...or simply thrown away...whether it be 5 cents...or a penny...it goes to the casino. Imagine how that adds up!😮

They definitely did with every penny they owed him as well they use that as tricks to try and keep you coming back. They dont even mind people winning jackpots because they make so much it doesnt matter. Ge probably got a free hotel suite and everything else to bc they want him to gamble those wins back into their business. Giving away free shit means nothig to them especially when its bringing wealthy people back into your business.

Wow. That's unheard of. They are quick to tell you it malfunctioned when a big jackpot hits and don't pay. This is the first instance I've seen them actually track down the guy and told him he won a nice prize and paid it out to him. Nice.

This is exactly why you play with your players card. Because what happened here is the machine malfunctioned before the reel could continue, when the machine got working again the reels came out to the result of the last pull which is from that guy. Now if he didn’t play with his players card, what would’ve happened is that everyone who had a players card would’ve got a shared win from it in “free play” always play with your players card.

Happen to me years ago, another reason to always use a players card. It was only $200 but the machine never displayed it until the code was reviewed at the end of the month, from the machine standpoint it was undetectable

Well that had to be a progressive win, meaning that it was linked to other slots. So they knew immediately that someone hit it because the system would have reset the progressive amount and triggered a handpay alert... for that machine. What? I don't understand how it took them so long to figure out that the machine hit. It had to be multiple problems, not just a display... OR the casino just didn't bother to find him until the gambling commission reviewed their data... and surprse, there was a missing payout in the system and they wanted to know why.

I have never ever heard of a casino doing this in my entire life... they must have been under investigation for something to go this extra mile to track down a winner. I legit hear stories all the time from gamblers of all types and have only heard of malfunctions working in favor of the house and never the player.

There needs to be laws in place that if you hit a jackpot (malfunction or not) you still get paid, legally that should already be the case. Casinos can get their slot machines insured and slot machine makers can do a better job making machines without malfunctions. The last person who should pay the price for a slot machine malfunction should be the player, period. Can't the reverse be said too? Someone loses $5K at the slot machine but it could have malfunctioned and therefore they should have won a jackpot......its the cheapest excuse casinos use to not pay players, totally illegal if you ask me.

Look, i agree that casinos are awful, but I've had the same thing happen on a much smaller scale. They watch those cameras. I was playing table games one night, and a guy in a suit came up, grabbed the pit boss, and paid me out $650. I had hit a flush a few hands back, and neither I nor the dealer caught it. But the cameras did, and they paid me immediately and apologized. So.. It does happen. This was in Oklahoma though, not LV..

They made it right and that's what counts at my book. I'm definitely going to visit treasure Island first. You people are honest. They are not like other casinos. They could have said no.
