It's cool to have affordable cars in the race, it's cool to get a "premium spot" to watch the race by driving this sh*tbox, but this is just dangerous. Imagine if they race at night in fog/rain, to me it looks like this car is for surely going to cause an accident sooner or later. He's literally going 145 kph where the fast cars will go 250+. That's dangerous as hell when visibility is impaired.

@@kHz33 inevitably the Porsche was at fault, I only saw the video from the Hyundai's point of view and you could very clearly see the Dacia and no matter what racing series you are in the car doing the overtake has to make sure it's done safely. I don't know if the Porsche hit him because he didn't look ahead properly or because he was too impatient to wait for a gap to form and just tried to pass without slowing down but either way it's a very unfortunate ending for the Dacia. Hope they come back with something else

Affordable for who? the fact that the car is "cheap" doesn't mean it is affordable to run in the 24h of Nurburgring

The 24h on the ring isn't just about the GT3's it's also about getting a car with a bunch of friends and making your dream come true.

@@Thomas_Bergel After sponsors and sharing it between multiple drivers, it does come into the "relatively affordable" range, if you're committed to it.

well this is not ur regular dacia logan 1.4 75hp...it has a lot of modifications and they are costly.

Too bad there was no nightdriving. I do think though thats its easier at night for the dacia, if you see lights hug the curb off the line and put the indicator on 🤣

They found sponsors and they received a lot of support so I am hopeful to see motivation to repair that car and to see them for 2024.

@@axelcalin The reason the cannot carry on is because the engine is not produced any more. It is the engine from a renault clio cup car. So they could buy another dacia but they would have to find a different engine

For me the normal cars are more interesting. But normal don't need to be very low power. But I think 165hp in a Dacia is decent.

@@theflotheflo easy, when you have 3.000 years experience and a Volker Strycek and Olaf Beckmann driving a Kissling Manta. That's pretty much german racing royalty. At least Opel royalty. I Love the car and the effort. I heard they even made a pit stop once because the fox tail fell off. Miss the old days where even a VW Bus competed. In the 90s the race was the most fun.

To slow for 165hp! My Bmw 320 touring in standard road condition fits 230kmh

@@X25_Networking My Fiesta does about 209, downhill 222 with a bit less power. Can't say anything about Nordschleife, because you can't drive the full Döttinger Höhe as tourist.

@@K-oZ Döttinger Höhe is not full drivable on tourist drive, because in the half it’s the inlap/outlap Gate. Bit 175kmh looks like the standard transmission from the Dacia. With the Clio Williams engine they will have much power and torque inside the slower sections but loose much time at main straight. I driven the nordschleife with my bmw e30 convertible some years ago and i think that the car is not much slower then the Dacia, it just had 115HP from the 318i M40 Engine. In Never will be Drive a Real 24h lap, but from the theory the Dacia could be drive faster.

I mean Dacia is not paying for this, if you have enough money, you can drive with pretty much any car

Unfortunately I also saw a lot of fans who didn't want Logan there. But compared to the other cars, it is already an exotic one. In general, Dacia are very old outside of one-make cups

@@marvinlinnarz5856 and he gives the race some life other than these crazy cars you could drive. He adds so much personality, and he's just one more obstacle for these cars. Inadvertently he might even be making the race safer lol by forcing these insane cars to slow down a bit.

@@marvinlinnarz5856 What a pity. Close to production cars gives charakter for the event. I think the mainly focus to GT3 is a little bit to much. I miss more information for the lower classes.

@@FoXakaFoX Jo, dafür ist der Dacia nicht langsam genug. Die SP9 Klasse schafft Zeiten um die 8:10 Minuten (Rennbedingungen trocken eher 8:30/8:40), der SCG liegt in einem ähnlichen Bereich. Heißt das wäre nur möglich, wenn der Dacia ca. 17 Minuten für eine Runde bräuchte, da diese 2 Runden in der selben Zeit zurück legen müssten für 2 Überrundungen innerhalb einer Runde.

I did my first lap in a 45 hp 4-speed VW Polo 86C Station wagon. That was sloooow. Yet I still nearly managed to roll it in Brünnchen :D
