Got to applaud NReal for actually sending them out to the channel. Not many manufacturers are willing to put their device through the mill like this. Especially smaller more niche products like this. Good to see they back their product enough to do so.

I've been having these glasses from December and the only thing I can say is "the future is now old man". I had really low expectations and the glasses absolutely surprised me. There are many pros and some cons I've observed. Pros - really lightweight and looks like normal glasses, super portable in the normal looking glass cover - the screen size is really big. It's like personal cinema for real. - the speakers do pretty decent job and for normal usage I don't bother to put in headphones. Said that you can't do that in public as people can hear laid and clear what's coming from your speakers Some cons - the 1080p is really pushing the screen size and if you want to use it for work like Mac extension screen or as dexx screen you will notice pixels. 4k or at least 1440 would make the difference. - I like to enjoy the cinema experience in dark room that's where these glasses absolutely shine. Said that when there are some bright areas to display you can observe some ghosting - hard to describe as it's not picture quality ghosting but because of the refraction. - with the refraction or mirror effect of those lenses if you are not in dark or wearing bright t shirt especially with some text or pictures on it it will reflect to your glasses like a mirror as you'll see reflection of your chest.. This one is really annoying at least for me. Can be solved watching in dark or wearing black cloths. Overall this is amazing toy and can replace tv easily. Either watching in bed or on the go in the car when waiting for kids to finish their activities. Or for work when I had a meeting where someone was presenting and I was walking outside in see through mode and projecting the content on the footpath and having absolutely perfect ability to interact and be part of the meeting despite being on the go was mind-blowing for everyone.;)

@earthtaurus5515
@earthtaurus5515 Год назад
AR 😋, but yeah they will actually change the game as the convential method was to have a all in one unit - battery and re-charging components including the SOC. Which not only makes them bulky but there is always the risk that people will use them whilst re-charging therefore overheating the battery. Given... what happens when overheated battery goes.... and wearing on your head when it does won't be a pleasent experience to the say the least. So, by having a processing done externally comfort is also increased as no heat dissipation is needed for the SOC. That heat will go both in the area and the users head... lol.. then is also the aspect of electro-sensitivity. So, yeah by having the AR glasses merely act like displays solves a vast array of problems. Sure, it doesn't solve the biological problem of eye strain but that's on the user not NReal just as monitor OEMs are not liable to eye strain issues caused by prolonged use by users.
