I remember that at the time billy was so vocal and dedicated to the whole Teagarden concept and its weird how he abandoned unfinished and its practically forgotten. Its not even on spotfy.

I also love how it's taken many "fans" 10-15 years to really catch onto the brilliance of SP releases since Adore. Always ahead of their time and pushing the envelope, no matter stuck in the past other people are. People HATED these songs when they were new. And now just look at some these comments praising them.

The second "ep" from Teagarden its one of my favorite things the pumpkins ever done. The fellowship its such a great opener, tom tom its amazing and spangled its just gorgeous.

It's nice to see Teargarden finally get the love it deserved. I loved the Teargarden project and concept. IMO, the music was excellent and the EP's were amazing to purchase and enjoy. I really do hope BC returns to the project, like he mentioned in a recent interview. Thanks for putting this together. It's an excellent listen.

Brilliant songs! I truly hope that the entire Teargarden project gets a remaster and repackage with 44 songs like originally intended. I think it will work better now, simply because it take fans/audience so long to catch onto what Billy has created, so by giving the fans 10 years of getting used to the tracks, once releasing the final 44 songs, will mean that fans will be able to digest it easier as a huge sum of music.

Really good level musically for Billy and company here. This era + Oceania pushed their musicianship further. I feel that going "back to basics" with Monuments and Shiny was a bit of a letdown in the face of these songs and what they were promising. I guess one can only take so much hate from so called "fans" before breaking in and doing what they want. I'm glad that with Iha and Chamberlin back in the band they've got back on the track of pushing their craft, even though this prog-alt rock era is gone.
@davidhumphrey7874
@davidhumphrey7874 Год назад
I feel like after Mike and Nicole left the band, we entered the era of "Modern Pumpkins": 1) songs that skip straight to the verse (as opposed to letting the song build up). With the obligatory guitar lead lol. 2) Corgan's aging voice way up front in the mix 3). Jimmy's decision to imitate a metronome on many of the new songs. (And yes, this was HIS decision, as cited in many interviews). 4). And the fucking synths!!!! Do you ever notice there's almost NO piano nor organ in the modern Pumpkins? I didn't really notice until I heard "Of Wings" the last song on ATUM. I like ATUM, but I think you're right about cracking under the pressure of so-called "fans" who can't get behind anything that isn't the original line up. Which is a shame.

@@davidhumphrey7874- I like the synth stuff! …more so on _Monuments_ than _CYR_ and _ATUM,_ but I don’t dislike them. mostly I don’t like how they make these enormous double and triple albums, where I feel the quality varies wildly 🤷🏻‍♂️

imagine what the world would be like if the Smashing Pumpkins just released regular albums as complete works, with 10-15 tracks, released all at once, made widely available in physical and digital form, with a continuos band member lineup, produced by the likes of Flood and Butch Vig. edit: actually I think the mixing on the _Teargarden_ EPs is probably the best it’s been since _Machina…_ didn’t realize the same guy worked on some older SP stuff, too!
