Fantastic. Bear in mind that Andy played this tuned up a tone to F# on the original track. You can see this on the live Smiths videos too. Someone even edited Andy playing this on a loop for ten minutes 😂. I was fortunate enough to meet him a few years ago and have a brief chat with him and he was every bit the gentleman. The sweetest, friendliest guy. RIP, Andy you absolute legend ❤

Cool cover-he actually tuned up to F# on this song (and several others) which makes it easier to play but probably screws up your bass action big time. Guess a capo might work as well.

Awesome tone man.. i think in the studio version after listening intently Andy does a hammer on at the 1.17 mark after the chromatic run in the studio track, or 1.22 in this vid between the 5 & 7 fret on the A .. if you listen carefully just to breakdown and bring Morrisey into his shouting phase it happens a few times in the song i think ... sounds like 5,6,7 and then 5 hammer 7 or maybe 6 to 7 slide off.

Really amazing,I and superb play I went to A work shop with The man himself a couple of years ago at the London bass show ,and as you probably know he never play normal tuning,I m not sure which tuning you are playing as I’m traveling and haven’t got my bass and also haven’t got perfect pitch ear ,but fair play playing and on flat wound string,anyway if that normal tuning why did you choose that tuning,? you play is amazing it should easy enough for you to play up tune,thanks ,and I love your playing but as fan of him I like your opinion on it..♠️🖤

I studied and watched live video recordings I do not interpret original fingers position normal tuning is more comfortable to me to play
