@@sr80bassguy No , i don't think . Do you have a interview of Johnny saying that , please ? If we have the sames problems with the Smiths than Pink floyd ... On the wall , Roger Waters write and compose the songs, ok , but the reallity is that the band create the songs . For example , Roger never composed gilmour guitars solo and rick wright made the job on " nobody home " etc... Marr wrote the bass lines ? I am very suspicious . When Marr ( i love Johnny ) is credited for all the music on the Smiths albums , for me it's wrong .I think that he has never composed Andy bass-lines and Morrissey vocals melodies .... Bravo! This really showcases Andy’s skills and contribution to the smiths records. Smiths drummer Mike Joyce famously sued Morrissey and Marr for cutting him out of royalty payments and tried to enlist Andy Rourke to join the suit. In 1989 Andy was "desperately short of money" and settled with Marr and Morrissey for £83,000 (about $104,000) and 10 per cent of royalties, giving up all further claims. Mike Joyce won his lawsuit, collecting £1,000,000 (about $1,246,000) and 25 per cent of royalties.
