The Sony A7C uses the same sensor as the A7III and the ZV-E1 uses the same sensor as the A7SIII & FX3, but both come at a lower price and have the latest features than their predecessors! If you are the target market for ZV-E1, you are most likely a beginner or intermediate in the video camera space. For most people in this space, I would recommend the Sony FX30 (2400CAD) over the ZV-E1 (3000CAD). It's cheaper and pumps out great image and video quality with powerful features. The difference can go to extras that actually matters (cage, gimbals, lenses, filters, etc.). Sure, it's APSC and worse in low light, but not by much, and they probably should be more concerned about video content quality than anything else first. Just my two cents :)

No it’s not. It overheats after 30 minutes in 4K. You’re welcome. You want a serious „video“ camera for beginners? Sony ZV-E10 (much cheaper than E1) and it never overheats or shuts down in „High“. You want to take it seriously? Sony FX3 which has an active fan to never overheat. Not even if you Film in the Sahara dessert lol. It costs even more than the Sony A7S3, but is also better for film making. I use the EV-10 for less than 1.000 dollars as a webcam and B cam and the FX3 if I want to do something seriously. If money plays no role, then go and buy the Sony Alpha1 which is the best for videos and fotos.
