Here we visit the magnificent Basilika St. Michael (also known as Mondsee Abbey) where the famous wedding scene was filmed. This was actually the very first location the cast & crew used when they arrived in Austria. The scene was filmed on a very long single day and the location is just as stunning if not more beautiful as it was 60 years ago.
