Music and sounds composed by Laurin M Rinder and M Michael Lewis! These are some of the sound clips from the In Search Of TV series hosted by Leonard Nimoy. It's hard to find any sounds without Mr. Nimoy speaking overtop of them but I did find quite a few. Most with some type of background sounds. There are many not featured here. ..I will soon be.. Incredible soundtrack is a synth 1970s early 1980s paradise. This soundtrack would put me in a world of wonder back then. Much of this soundtrack is missing, but you did an amazing job with your edits. Nimoy was on another level as the host of ISO.

It were the sounds at 1:46 and 4:55 that always scared me as a kid, but I kept on watching.

Thanks for posting this. Well-edited, and enjoyable to listen through. I've been a fan of series ever since watching it during its original run. Like other commenters here, I've always pined for a full, clean music soundtrack of it, such as a digital download, or even CD release. Is there any way to prevail upon whoever/whatever owns the music to do this? Like a petition drive, or something of that sort? Any ideas? Surely, I'm not the only one who would like to see the wheels set in motion to accomplish this.

@@BattletoadOVerload It's possible that Rinder and/or Lewis may have tapes of their music. Sometimes composers have possession of their own music done for soundtracks. If only somebody could find out where those guys are and contact them.

Thank you for posting. Ive been looking for something like this! I love the show and the eerie atmospheric music was a big part of why I loved it! I hope one day the cue music gets a proper release. Ill take this for now!

Thank you! There are so many more music sounds and clips but Nimoy is usually talking over most. I'd love a clean release of everything too

The only reason I know of this old show is because a website I use recently got some stock of a CD release of this music. I wouldn't say it's a complete OST, but it was released on vinyl before. I'd guess "best of".

I used to like this show as a kid, but loved the theme song. As I hear some of the music and sounds used in the movie, some of them remind me of the ones used by Wendy Carlos in the movie Tron. Take a listen to 4 seconds into this video to 12 seconds, and tell me that isn't right out of Tron! Did Carlos copy that from In Search Of? Amazingly similar.

@@LordPusswhip Lol I love those ancient websites! I took all these In Search Of sounds from original episodes while Nimoy wasn't narrating, to put them in one of my usual RU-vid episodes last year. Figured I'd upload all the sounds I found for others to enjoy

I actually like that album but yeah I'd much rather have the original music for sure!
