Rasamatazz definitely . It makes you appreciate the game even more and it's cool to see that not every sound effect is completely artificial. The developers did an awesome job
Holy shit, the real Mick Gordon responded, dude you’re an absolute legend! Keep up the amazing work, man, you’re a blessing for every video game OST you’re a part of.
Easily the best sound production in a fighting game. The way it sounds on a. 7.1 system makes other fighters sound flat in comparison. Great work guys.
TellisTorterra you won't be disappointed. The minute you hear a fireball go left to right, hit and then explode into particles you just smile. Or listening to the spinal chant. Yeah nothing like it.
Magic and mind-blowing all the passion that was used to create Killer Instinct on Xbox One, my respect and admiration for all its creators. Never has a fighting game been so beloved outside of Japan a 100% non-Japanese fighting game and of this quality that can compete with the greats of the genre is The best achievement of Microsoft.
Sorry, I dont speak English. but I want to express my opinion about this beautiful franchise , I liked the idea of reviving the old songs of Killer Cuts and classic songs from each character , made me return to my childhood and I want to say thank you all for making it a great game which it was launched long ago to the arcade and now delight me with its soundtrack, thanks guys :) .
This was a joy to watch! It was great to see all the passion and work that went into making the amazing sounds and music for this game, and I can't wait for Killer Cuts: Season 2 to come out!
it's amazing how with basic stuff you guys make sounds very real. I mean, cinder flames, hisako teleports, etc , etc. And Mick gordon, mick you are a great artist. I wish that he would be more famous, you deserve it. That throat sounds effect for jago... i want try make that sounds.. xD
I've played this series from day one. I hate that it took me so long to snag an Xbox one but because of my delay I've gotten the definitive edition and my goodness, they've done A DAMN great job with putting this together. So much to see and do. New to the game but not the series. Been having a blast playing this.
Thank you for the vidocs. I always enjoy hearing more about the production of this game and all of the effort of you guys doing this. Keep it up, here's to hoping to hear about Season 3 at Gamescom.
Just like good old horror movies with the prosthetics, the crew at Microsoft/Iron Galaxy went with practical stuff for the sound design. This is why the sound in KI feels kinda unique. Did they cause rock avalanches for Aganos? That's something I'm curious to know. I really love how they have shown the ideas for Riptor's claws and Cinder's fire. They go for the tropes in the character design but the sound... damn! And THAT soundtrack! It's HYPE! It feels like a true definition of each character's nature. I'll forever associate Mick with Aganos' theme... or the hype stage! I only discovered Killer Instinct last year when I bought a used SNES cartridge but I love the style, the hype, the characters... I bought the console (soon the PC) for this game. I ended up getting the soundtrack before the console. Fighting games must be exciting to play and watch... and listen. And KI is that game for me.
+Mick Gordon, if you're listening, I want you to know that I thought the themes you did for the characters during Seasons 1 and 2 were fantastic and you are excellent at what you do. I know this is nothing new to hear, but I really wish you did Season 3 (though I did like Celldweller and Atlas Plug's work). Hopefully, you come back to the KI franchise soon.
I feel like when they were going over Sabrewulf, that gameplay where all hits (not only ultras) should be a setting you can toggle or a secret button input before you start the game. I just really like that kind of mode and kinda hope it'll be in Season 3. (But I won't get my hopes up on that front)
Hopefully when season 3 is nearly released Iron Galaxy can make the graphics much better idk if anyone noticed the difference between s1 and s2 but s1 was more dark and less lighting then in s2. But man do I miss the old look of this game back in Evo 2013 the characters were so detailed and the original announcer was way more louder and hyped.
Amazing work was put in this game but I still miss the characters yelling over every hit. Made the fight seem brutal. I especially miss Jago's old windkick scream. WAYAHHH!!
Heitor Souza Obviously the sound software wasn't too great back then, like most people didn't know how to edit the sound to make it sound like it's not popping your ears when playing. Though that's one of the most memorable things about that is the voices from the characters even if it's on hit. These modern day fighting, you pretty much only hear the character's voices sometimes when getting hit or you're hearing the punches, the slices, and other things going on.
EXodus Machina yeah though this version of KI is obviously better in audio quality it does lack much of the "noise" previous KI's had, which helped make the game stand out imo (of course that ol' energetic OST probably had something to do with it lol). Still a fun game though and cant wait for more!
+Mick Gordon I'm trying to recreate Shadow Jago's voice by making my throat go "fuzzy" but since I screamed once today while playing Killer Instinct when I kept getting destroyed by noobs, I can't do it...I'm starting to feel bad for not being 100% close to Shadow Jago...
I hope double helix and iron galaxy work on season 3 together so they could make the game even greater than what it is today like buddy cops like thunder (double helix) and aganos (iron galaxy) ;)
Anyone knows why in modern games the characters are kinda voiceless? Like in the old KI you could clearly hear the screams when they got hit or any kind of sounds, like endokukens and all that. Just as an example of other franchise, in Smash Bros if you close your eyes you can understand everything what is happening in Smash 64 or Melee (who are fighting, what items is being used, who is losing, even who jumps in a very specific moment or what kind of punch was done etc etc), but in the modern ones you should feel lucky if you can tell what characters are fighting. My first idea was that it was done on purpose for the sake of realism... But watching a sudden death match with everyone suffering in complete silence doesn’t feel very realistic.
so I thought of a good crossver fighting game Name: blazblue vs killer Instinct Genre: Fighting Platform: Arcade, Xbox one Number of Players: 1-2 Players Rating: T for (Teen) Publisher: double helix Release Date: TBA
