My pleasure! I'll get it out soon! Until then, you can add uplights into the first group. They'll start getting the design of the uplights. But they won't automatically start doing chases, you'd have to copy those over manually. Movers are a little more involved, but you basically create a new group of two and copy one of the existing groups and then add your movers to the existing attribute cues
@@DJDarylBennett I actually mapped my uplights to the Both profiles. The freedom par hex have a 6-channel mode and the colors seem to match. I'm nervous to do the movers though. I have the battery-powered Free Spot 60. I wonder if they would map similarly to the Intimidator 260 or 360 profiles you have in the program? I'll also let you know how the tubes work out when they arrive:)
Daryl, thanks so much for another excellent video! I run my lighting, show for my band from Ableton live. Can I use sound switch with a ableton to sync all my lights with the playback of my backing tracks, for my life band performances? Than you!
Thank you for watching! With Ableton link you can sync the music's bpm to SoundSwitch, but SoundSwitch will only play the autoloops. (Which is what I've done with bands in the past) But if you play your backing tracks in Serato or virtual dj, then you can sync custom tracks.
can you make a video on how to customize the visualizer how to add fixtures and make them look like the fixture, I can find a good video of the visualizer, I can get it going but don't look right if you know what I mean, great job by the way. can you also explain how to work with 2 universes with the control one
Hi Daryl. Was thinking of getting your shortcut software. Will these presets work with equinox spectrapix battens and 7x40 4in 1 bee eye moving heads? If not can I add them and still use your presets? Or are they only for specific fixtures. Sorry, still learning.....
Is there a reason you still use MA2 3D rather than MA3's integrated visualizer? I got MA3 up and running together with SoundSwitch, but wonder if there's any benefits to the older version
Why are you using 6x18 profile for the IR4s uplights? I checked SoundSwitch and the IR4s have their own profile. Also, are the IR4 best used in 10 channel or 6 channel mode? Thanks
Hi Daryl, I'm waiting for 8 Uplighs (IR4) and 2 Head Beams (MH-150S) from your list. How should I daisy chain them? If Head Beams are connected by wires to the DJ controller will wireless transmitter in the second Head Beam work (not even need receiver)? Or I have to connect wireless transmitter to the DJ controller and then have receiver on the first Head Beam?
If I purchase the SS dongle ($39), do I still need the Control 1 to control my lights? Another DJ on facebook said that getting only the SS dongle was a waste because the SS software within Virtual DJ will only allow you to control programmed loops only. So ultimately, the Control 1 is a must? Or can I simply use the SS dongle & software that can connect to Virtual DJ? I'm trying to avoid having so many gadgets in my setup. Also, trying to avoid hooking up two laptops or an extra tablet to control simple light operations. Thanks for your valuable info.
You can start out with the dongle. You can manually control the SoundSwitch software from your computer, just during a performance you’ll have to switch back and forth
Daryl this may be a dumb question but if I get your settings how does that work with tracks I’ve auto scripted? Will I need to re-auto script? Or will the auto scripting now take into account all of these different settings you have programmed?
How are the laws for "cold" spark machines where you are ? NY needs So much paperwork and insurance and permission to do it and a fire marsh to be on site.... UGH !
It's still very much the wild west out here. Many venues still allow them. I always check. When I first started asking the fire Marshall of one of the cities I was in and he was confused
