The South Downs Way is a long distance footpath and bridleway running along the South Downs in southern England. It is one of 16 National Trails in England and Wales. The trail runs for 160 km from Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne in East Sussex, with about 4,150 m of ascent and descent
Come join Mr Brown & myself as we attempted to complete The South Downs Way over 5 days earlier this summer (2023)

My home turf. Section hiked this and done several sections multiple times - the Shoe at Exton is a great pub. Seven Sisters is the highlight, some people follow the cycle route and miss out on this stunning section. It’s not wild or remote but a great walk nonetheless, especially for fans of pubs and coffee shops!

Thanks for the happy memories of when my husband and I walked it some years ago. I’ll selectively forget the big thunderstorm, my laryngitis and my husband sitting down for lunch near Lewes in a red ants nest 😂

Great stuff Darren. Thanks for the video. Great to see you two enjoying yourselves. I always like to see the pub visits and the odd bits of banter between the two of you. Worth the wait and inspiring as always.
