A shortened version of my live stream from the town of Kirishi in Leningrad region of Russia, filmed on the 13th of March, 2024.
Kirishi is located in 110km southeast from St Petersburg, Russia. Population: 50,300 residents.
Having a huge oil refinery (LLC Kinef) and power plant (Kirishskaya GRES), the town of Kirishi is one of the largest energetic and industrial centres of Leningrad region of Russia.
Meanwhile, being developed mostly in 1960-1970’s, Kirishi has its awesome late Soviet vibe. A good economical situation together with an architecture of USSR makes Kirishi a “Soviet heaven” in our contemporary world.

YEAH! Kirishi is one of the very first towns I discovered since I became interested in Soviet architecture and city building. Indeed a perfect little town.

Sergey I am so happy to see you doing well, yet my heart honestly break to hear of the news of the terror attack in Moscow, which is not how I would hope to see things happening for the Russian people, since my hope is for nothing but peace, even though it would seem that there are those that are bent on nothing but terror, and destruction for Russia. This for sure I will never understand, even though I am close to 50 years old, especially due to the fact I completely understand that Russians are a strong, resilient people, that should be viewed as a respectable thing from the rest of the world, not something to attack such as the west has done.

As someone who has lived their whole lives in the capitalist west I can see a lot of benefits to the Soviet Model of civilization. Perhaps together we will eventually find the ultimate sweetspot. Personally I think we should have two houses of government. One to manage collective NEEDS and One to manage collective WANTS. I also think that perhaps a socialist approach works best for our collective NEEDS and a Capitalist approach works best for our collective WANTS. what are the best ways to travel to Russia from Europe ? i wound ideally like to travel by train through the scenic areas of Russia i will visit obviously Moscow and Saint Petersburg . i want to experience the most important places and experience real Russia like an historical adventure from the begging of Rus to today i will stay @ 2 months . I obviously will visit the hermitage but i want to see everything i can thats important to understand Russian history and get the deepest Russian experience i can Are there tours i should take or russians i should engage the services off to see russia in the most efficient way ? These are special ultraviolet lamps for plants) People who have "dacha" grow seedlings on windowsills so that when the snow melts, they can transplant the plants into the ground.
