I think alot of people are missing the point of the balance adjustment. The point of yajirobe's rework was that it enabled a viable win condition that most people would deem unfun to play against or with. Being able to stall for timer was too consistent of a win condition for a game that is designed for people to be aggressive. And if you think about dragon ball as a franchise, since when has somebody winning by a metaphorical timer actually ended a fight. Even when they were charging the spirit bomb goku still had to throw the ATTACK not eat a snack.
Wtf do you mean the time limit has never been the deciding factor in a fight? Omega Shenron VS SS4 Gogeta, Omega only won because Gogeta burned through his time. Fused Zamasu VS Vegeta Blue same thing. The first TWO fights between Gotenks and Super Buu ended with Goten and Trunks retreating after fusing. Pretty sure Jackie Chun VS Goku ended in a Knockout, not a ring out, and I know for a fact that certain fights in the Budokai Tenkaichi in OG DB came down to the 10 count timer. Ngl alot of the fights are on a time. Hold out until Goku arrives, hold out until Goku has enough energy, hold out so that the spirit bomb can be charged
I tried yajirobi after the patch and tbh i think they did a great job balancing him out. Its still more than possible to use his senzu despite the costs with the only difference: you gotta put a little effort in getting those 6 points. They really did a good job with him
no idea what people are upset about, it sounds like everybody was asking for the yajirobe change at the high tier tournament level. doesn't really change anything to the casual scene at all.
I feel what made yajirobe strong isn't as big of a problem with him as it is with the tag mechanics When someone tags out a character, you have to deal with another character, and that character you just fought is gonna get all their health back eventually. A general fix for this is adding a snapback style mechanic and also being able to see the other team so you can make a plan. This will allow you to at the start of the round snap in a scary character and take them out early, or when they do a unsafe tag you can punish with a snapback and continue what you started. Basically, add snapback and let me see who I'm fighting
Giants are so easy to beat. You rush them and teleport. The dash move they have that hits you, you use perception. You find a way to go into sparking mode and you beat them down. If you’re losing to giants, you’re not trying.
something ppl did not understand is that his,skill meter rose fast, (note theres an item that raises it even faster) but aside from 6 skill cost senzu bean. the hp loss means you can combo him to death. You just need to learn around each charecter. Cant complain especially when "insta sparks" exist. like an insta spark into an unblockable ult, or well recoon blowing up if you push a button other then block
@milboxr9772 it was just for the dp thats all it was either drop badidi to 2 ot dabura to 5 either way that way you can get a 4th fighter in spopovich on the majin themed team thats all it what for if im dumb or stupid for that then i guess im stupid
also the only other change i would say that needs to change is just making Afterimage Strike need to consume Ki per vanish, being able to freely avoid an AOE ult with no drawback seems a lil OTT, it should just put you both into a Neutral state
im just so so annoyed that all the BT3 fans (as a BT3 fan myself) think “balance patches” means reducing the game’s fun down until the game is as perfectly even and bland as Street Fighter 1, like no mf we just wanna have extremely broken things nerfed enough for the game to stay fun 🤷♂️
Wild that people are getting mad at something being used to run the clock got adjusted. Not even wildly nerf. Very fair adjustment. And small tweaks just to make characters more fun/fair to play against sounds awesome to me. I'm sure if the devs found a way to make the giants more "fair" to play against while still keeping them with the same feel they will. They want their game to be fun. And I don't mean "fair" as in perfectly balanced, just making it so that even the most frustrating characters can still be answered with skill and technique. Also every fighting game, especially with a roster this big, is going to have cheese in it and the people who are going to play it.
I understand droppin Yajirobe's specials n allat, but imma still play him cuz its fun to demolish Fusion players with it. Wish they'd add Hatchiyak to the game too tho so I could rock my glorious Tuffle Duo with Hatchiyak and Baby.
it honestly depends how they balance. because I don't like forced meta that what killed overwatch for me . because the characters that weren't meta and the meta characters were not fun to play. if they balance were the meta is fun. that being said you also said you dont want to play goku blue "because he sucks" to me that is specifically a skill issue. if a character is bad or not as good as you want it to be you have to make up the difference with your own playstyle and skill you can change transformations red supersayian has a binding move etc . saying a character is bad and then not touching them is on you and even in other fighting games non top tiers could still do well if you were skilled enough.
good patch, yajirobe was only slightly past the line of acceptable, now the character is very strong but not disgusting. in my opinion that one ability was the single most unbalanced thing in the whole game, the only thing that required adjustment at all, and now it's perfectly fine. hope they don't touch things unless everybody mostly agrees something is totally broken like this.
In a game that wasn’t made to be competitive and people using UI goku, gogeta, vegito 25/8 when you could use 183 othercharacters. These video and comments make me sad. No one knows how to have fun anymore 🤦🏾♂️
If they just nerfed instant sparking and afterimage strike the game would actually require you to throw hands instead of it being triviliazed af right also get rid of the timer

Yeah nah it needs to get tweaked on certain characters(The weaker characters should keep their afterimage strike). But what REALLY needs a nerf is instant sparking and unblockable ultimates
The reason people are so mad is because he was making it so bad players could easily cheese good players. Now they have to fucking get gud and they don’t wanna so they gonna cry instead man. It is what it is and they will evolve or die.
