probably because they have a really good rule in writing. where if they have to transition from one scenario to the other if a writer uses "and then", they either have to scrap it or turn that into a "and because of that".

What I honestly love is how in the series the special ed kids have personalities and speak their mind and nobody judges them xD Like Jimmy with ads and asking the principle if he was uncomfortable around disabled kids. Oh my god that was hysterical!!!

I didn't notice it until somebody pointed it out, but the fact that the special ed kids are probably treated the best and respected so much by South Park is great. They aren't treated like jokes, but just like anyone else on the show. Nobody ever mocks their disability.

What I really like about the sped episodes are the kids aren’t the focal points for the jokes, they make the jokes themselves and are involved with the other kids in a normal way.

Someone who was in special needs class. You cannot tell I was even apart of it unless you really get to know me. >_< My boyfriend of five years just now finally realizes what's wrong with my brain... Sad true story. But I concur with your comment. Being in special needs it's quite like this and there was a few geniuses out of the bunch that just were disabled and honestly could have been mainstreamed in regular classes.

Apparently the name Tardigrade means slow stepper. Not sure if it was the creators of South Parks intention to have special Ed kids work with a creature name slow steppers, but it works. Also, the Tardigrade was discovered in 1773 by a German scientist who called them, Kleiner Wasserbär (little water bear).
