I was lucky enough to have a dad born in the early 60’s, he was in to 70’s punk and Ska music so songs like this were around in his youth and he shared songs like these with me when I was little, really opened my world to so many great songs and genres, which is why I’m here!

Thanks KS , really have to listen to lyrics . Is monkey man , slang for bouncer ? Might be urban lingo gonna check it out . Quarantine gives us plenty of time . Thanks again
This song is about a woman who gets busy with another man, probably a big guy, and the original singer Toots(and the Maytals) is jealous, calling the guy a big monkey man! “I didn’t see you, I only heard of you, hugging up a big monkey man. It’s no lie, it’s no lie, hugging up a big monkey man”.
How can protein smoothies be made by a harmless robot that grows and collects it then gives it to another harmless robot using artificial intelligence so we as people can safely consume it 🎉
Nothing racist about it. It’s a cover of a Toots and the Maytals song. Here’s what Toots said about the song in an interview: “Well Monkeyman is all about a girl, a very good looking girl like you! I fell in love with her and then a monkey-looking man took her away from me but I thought she was in love with me. The guy was ugly and not good looking like me, ha ha!”
