Ikr! When the cancellation was 1st announced I was infuriated! Pissed times 1000 is what I was! I’m pretty much over it nowadays tho... That is until I finished watching this video😖😖 Now my inner child is sobbing and drowning in sorrow😭🤧😭
@@quayzar_escabar I feel your pain. I have felt the same way for years. Disney just... Keeps pissing me off! They cancel my spectacular spiderman! They cancel star wars! They cancel my star wars the clone wars online game! - The ONLY thing I'm HAPPY about Disney... Is the mandolarion... And a few other shows being added to Disney plus. But, I will NEVER FORGIVE THEM for what they do to spidey! And the new movies are about the same way I feel about the cartoons they dish out. "Meh, I'll watch it cause I need more content" NOT cause I genuinely love them like I loved, no love this show. I have watched it like 10 times now and own it all on dvd as a collection bundle I got on Amazon.
"Don't apologize, I never do". Only now I've begun to realise what that says about Norman from since the very first episode. He has no boundaries, not only as Goblin but also as himself, taking no credit for his failures and deliberate wrong doings. That's what makes a man truly dangerous. If we would only have gotten to see the 3rd season.
That's what makes Norman Osborn such a compelling and criminally underrated villain. The guy was always such an A-Hole. He was never really much of a good person. He tricks his partners and had them kicked out and arrested. He swindles people for their money. He ruins lives basically. He's also pretty neglectful of his son. Not only that, but, he's also pretty petty and greedy. After the Goblin, he's been cold, calculative, manipulative, sadistic, cunning, and monsterous. The guy wants nothing more than to ruin Peter's life and just to get what he wants for himself. Really, he's more like a dark reflection of Peter Parker and the things he's done is incredibly disgusting and vile the Joker would be proud of him as well as Lex Luthor. And Really, Alan Rachin Really deserves some recognition. Guy captures Norman Osborn BEAUTIFULLY. He's like the Mark Hamill of the villains.
In my honest opinion, I'd prefer Spectacular Spider-Man over Ultimate Spider-Man and no offense to Drake Bell, but Josh Keaton's voice suited Spider-Man whenever he had his serious, dramatic and comedic moments. Drake Bell's version of Spider-Man made him too comedic and acted too much like Deadpool (with the 4th wall breaking). Lastly, even if most of you including Nicktendo don't like the 2017 Spider-Man series, I enjoyed Robbie Daymond's voice on Spider-Man and he sounded much better than Drake Bell's version. In fact, I'd put Robbie right on par with Josh Keaton and Yuri Lowenthal's voices of Spider-Man.
I remember when it was canceled (10 years ago! I was a high school kid back then) and ever since it happened fans have been doing their best to get Weismann to get to complete his vision. The series is the best Spidey media there is because it uses only the best elements to be the best Spidey version there is and all the supporting cast characters grow and have their own arcs. There’s so much care put into it. I hope someday it gets to continue.
Dude. You cant just pirate a Spectacular Spiderman Trailer from an alternate universe and call it fanmade. Looks brilliant btw. Kudos on capturing that OG cartoon style so well.
Carnage, Hobgoblin, Hydro-Man, and Scorpion were all alluded to in Season 2. Miles Warren hadn't become the Jackal yet, either. And it's highly possible Warren could have made Vermin since he was experimenting with mammals.
@@-Teague- gargan was mentioned in the last episode of season 2 when he was on the phone with Chameleon Norman Osborn, by the looks of it, he was a hired spy.
I am quite certain the reason why Young Justice was cancelled was that they weren't making enough money by selling merchandise (toys, clothing etc). While Spect Spider-man was cancelled because Disney wanted to make a different spider-man tv show with jokes that aren't funny and way too many filler episodes. But, let's hope you are right. Maybe if the fans are loud enough the producers may come to their senses.
Easily one of the memorable funny moments of the show and others like when Spidey said this to shocker. Spidey: You do this for a living? Ha! Ha! With that accent, I was thinking rodeo clown! Shocker: Don't you mock me boy!! Spidey: I mock, I'm a mocker.
It breaks my heart in the best way possible how much “love” and respect fans had for this Spectacular animated series. The Spectacular Spider-Man meant the world to me during its stint on tv, and truly made an impact on my life that changed me for the better. The series deserved better treatment than it got by the professionals, but knowing it had/has a cult following from others like myself makes me feel warm inside.
Avatar: last Airbender doesn't need to continue it needs a new avatar story with a new well written avatar but if there is next season of avatar last I'll still gonna watch it
My tears were about to get out when I clicked on this video. This show was my favorite show when I was a kid. I used to watch it every day. When it got cancelled, I was really sad. Over the years, I finally forgot this show. When I saw this video, I felt that I was about to get thrown back in time. I wish they can make another season or another episode. I really want a good ending for this show.
Dude, that fan-made trailer for Season 3 was INCREDIBLE! What you mean "rough" XD. And what a great video. PERFECT tribute to this masterpiece. Now we got the Snyder Cut, time to Release Spectacular Spider-Man Season 3!
Jaws the Hedgefox no it’s Watts. He’s the director and he has his hands in the screenplay. Therefore, it’s his vision. Sony and marvel only have oversight in the development.
Honestly I kind of blame the Amazing Spider-Man films for that. Let me clarify. I don’t blame those movies, I blame their existence. We had so many Spider-Man films at the time that either Sony or Marvel felt the need to differentiate MCU Peter from the others. So we got young Aunt May who is okay with Peter being Spider-Man and we just the part where she becomes okay with it. We don’t want recycle Uncle Ben so we will just practically ignore his existence. We don’t want Peter to have money problems so instead he doesn’t. Unfortunately I think it’s come at the cost of making Peter a will more identifiable and relatable in my opinion.
Marvel has a hard time committing to long term character development because Sony could take Spider-Man back at any moment, so they just settle for safe and generic movies instead.
I could be overthinking it, but when looking at the intro, the ending of it shows all the main characters with their names in caps, except for Spider-Man. Probably to show the series is more about PETER PARKER rather than spidey. Again, could just be overthinking it; but I wouldn't be surprised if that was intentional.
This is one of the best Spider-Man shows I ever watch growing up even and havingbeans even the 90s Spider-Man cartoon that I grew up watching and that fanmade trailer at the end was just perfect why can't we get this in real life.
Easily my favorite Spider-Man adaptation along with PS4 and Raimi. Couple things: -That trailer at the end looks great! -Those college DTV’s were gonna be darker and PG-13. We might have got Kraven’s Last Hunt, Sin Eater, and The infamous Gwen storyline/Green Goblin’s Last Stand. On a funnier note, Aunt May would’ve tucked in Peter’s name tag for his graduation in the final episode of the TV series. -There’s a Keep the Spectacular Spider-Man Alive Facebook page. Fans and crew from the show are on the page. -Greg Weisman is awesome and I love all of his shows. However, Vic Cook and the other writers as well as Sean Galloway to name a few are also the unsung heroes for some amazing character and art direction! Thanks for a great video!
A part of me still holds out hope that with series like Young Justice, the Clone Wars, and the Proud Family coming back, that one day Spectacular could. It genuinely makes me sad to hear what might have been.
I remember binging through the show thinking there was a season 3 and I was so pumped after the season 2 finale, then I remember checking and found out it was cancelled.
Good breakdown by Godzilla. The one thing I would add, it was actually the 90s toon that introduced the idea of the symbiote slowly enhancing the negative aspects of Peter's personality (and the wearer in general). But I too love SSM. SSM and Spiderverse are the two best interpretations of the character in my opinion. And a big reason I think SSM is so good is because I think Spider-man is a character that naturally does better in a serialized format as opposed to film. What makes it so good is watching the daily struggles of Peter and the fleshed out supporting cast. That's just harder to do in a film.
7:31 picture says more than whatever you’re saying there. Young Justice is amazing. I actually only found out there’s a third season only last week! (Currently I’m watching a few episodes through zoom with a friend every evening and it’s so much fun)
That was really awesome I would have liked to have seen the third season myself probably the best Spider-Man TV series ever Awesome theme song and like you said great characters and done with lots of love
I believe Spectacular Spider-Man is an incredible series that wasn't thought of highly when it was being made. I also have a story for you to review. Browntable, it's a shonen battle story. I already emailed it to you
Excellent analysis and amazing work, dude. The animated part looked amazing, especially given that it was a small effort. The part with the door especially was pretty good, like it was an action bit ripped from the show.
The animation in that trailer was spectacular. I honestly thought it was the real thing! Such a great video, you made. I really wish this show would come back.
Great summary, Spectacular was pretty awesome, although some of the positives you talk about here such as extended character development and source material respect is in place with Marvel’s SpiderMan too 😉
I'm soooooooo very going to be needing a season 3 for Spectacular Spider-man cartoon TV series because I haven't seen The Punisher, Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin, Scorpion, Daredevil, and many more. I want Peter Parker and Liz Allen relationship to be working out again
Wonderful video! I only recently rewatched both seasons and you summed up perfectly why I loved it so much. Plus the animation at the end was surprisingly great! And whoever did the voices was also fantastic! I was afraid the singing was gonna be slightly cringy, but you edited in such a way where I just got hyped again. So all in all, 10/10 analysis on the best Spider-Man series
Please mauricio, this is all i ever wanted. Seeing spectacular's continuation would complete my childhood and judging from your previous work it is going to be amazing :)
