Mystryl and Mystra are not interchangeable; they are different entities, and this gets very confusing for no reason. Here is a super straightforward overview of the goddesses as far as I can recall it: *Mystryl* *---------------* *Born:* _During the battle between Shar and Selûne at the beginning of time._ *Died:* _During Karsus' Folly where she sacrificed herself to save the weave from total collapse._ *Mystra* *---------------* *Born:* _After Mystryl sacrificed herself to save the weave, and by extension Faerûn._ *Died:* _Destroyed by the god Helm during the Time of Troubles for defying the overgod, Ao._ *Mystra (Midnight)* *---------------* *Born:* _Ao offered the positon to of Goddess of Magic to a wizard named Midnight. Midnight changed her name to Mystra to avoid confusion._ *Died:* _Murdered by Cyric by the instruction of Shar. Shar wanted the weave all to herself and didn't expect her own Shadow Weave to collapse with the original Weave._ *Resurrected* _Around one century later, Mystra is slowly returned to divinity, thanks to the loyal help of her chosen, mainly Elminster._
