This is one of my favorite surahs by sh Abdallah Humeid. I learn something new every time i read it. The verses are so powerful, you read it over and over again and you get hooked every single time. I find myself listening to a verse over and over again and after the 20th time i finally understand the meaning of that verse. Thats the Quraan for you. Its incredible. You should listen to his recitation of Surah Ar- Rahman its beautiful. May Allah bless you

In the verse about parents: "But if they urge you to associate with me (Allah) what you have no knowledge of, then do not obey them" means that if your parents tell you to associate partners with God than do not listen to them, the only time a Muslim is ever to disobey their parent is if they teach wrong and that goes against the teachings of Islam. However, this does not by any means mean that you should be rude to your parents you must still respect them event though you do not agree with them. May Allah guide us and take us on the straight path, the path of those whom He has favoured and not those who have gone astray. Ameen

AS AN MUSLIM ~ARABIC WOMAN I WANT TO SAY THAT ...By reviewing the recent scientific facts about the spider's web and its habitat, we find that modern science shows beyond any doubt that spider tissue is one of the strongest natural tissue where it is characterized by flexibility and hardness that exceeds the hardness of steel and that the spider's physical house in the sense of housing is one of the strongest dwellings where it can stop a bee exceeding the size of the spider many times and fly at high speed without being damaged or torn.Therefore, I believe that it is not likely that the spider house, which the Qur'an described as the most ill-founded of the houses, is the spider web that it takes as a dwelling and a trap for its prey. Perhaps it is the spider's web - and God knows knows - the spider family, which is truly the most disconnected family, I have to mention that the Arabs used the word "beit"(HOME) in the sense of a woman and his children. Modern science has proven that the family relationship between spiders is a relationship governed by interest, even if the interest is over, they turn into enemies that kill each other and eat each other, and these bad qualities and fragile relationships do not meet in any other creature's home, making the spider house in the sense of women and children the flimsiest of all creatures...it is deeper and deeper than we think,it's genius.

The Arabic in which Quran is revealed is very ancient and deep most of the Arabs don't speak this Arabic but they kind of still get some parts, Quran have deep meanings so its better to watch with subtitle with meaning, its better to understand the Quran and read it rather than just reading it, but Allah is so generous toward this Ummah is that even if you just read it without understanding it and have faith that this is the truth and word of Allah he will reward you .

We all the last people,the people of Muhammad s.a.w.and we must follow the last source scripture that is the Quran.. Allah (s.w.t) sent down five holy books as stated in the Qur'an: The Scrolls/Suhuf of Abraham/Ibrahim (a.s). The Torah/Taurat of Moses/Musa (a.s). The Zabur/Psalm of David/Dawud (a.s). The Injeel/Gospel of Esa/Jesus (a.s) The Qur'an of Muhammad (s.a.w).

This is my favorite surah of the Quran for many reasons. Islam is a beautiful religion but don't feel forced to join it if u are comfortable with Christianity. After all we have the same God. And Allah says in the Quran that had he willed he could've made us one religion but he didn't. This shows us the beauty of diversity of our Creator. I pray that God gives us wisdom, knowledge and understanding may He guide us to a straight path. Peace

The particular verse that really hit me is when Allah says " dont they see how we made Mekkah a sanctuary while people arround Mekkah are having their Lives Snatched Away, since 2003 usa and its Nato Dogs is killing everyone Arround Mekkah, Irak, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan,Palestine the only places war havent stopped since the Balfour Declaration in 1917

The surah (the spider): describes 1) The situation of the life of a believer, which will be filled with test/trials (bearable) 2) Then describes the reward of the believer who succeed in the test/trials with patience, their reward will be Paradise. 3) Then describes the disbelievers and the nations( People of Abraham, Lut, Shuaib, and Pharaoh and his allies) that have disbelieved in ancient times as those who saw the truth and denied it. And their fate was destruction and hell. 4) Then Allah compared the believes of the disbelievers with the house of a SPIDER. How weak and feeble is the house of a spider.. The spider house (web) lacks any form of benefit, it neither protect then spider from rainfall or sunshine or predator.. Meaning the believes of the disbelievers will do no good for them, except they revert to Allah the most forgiving and most merciful. 5) Allah implore us to have dialogue with Jews and Christians in a dignified, good and respectful manner. 6) The life of this world is just mere play and amusement, the real life is the life of the hereafter (paradise or hell) 7) Allah promise to guide to HIS path anyone who strive to know HIM, Allah loves the good doers.

O People of the Book, come to the Common Word between you and us, not to worship but God

The example is that of the spider's home and there is a very good reason for this. Think about it, a spider's home is made of the strongest natural thread yet it is so fragile and delicate as a spider's web. This is the same with pagans who worship other gods than the one God. They believe that what they worship is concrete and the idea of it is strongly engrained in their minds, but when the day of judgment comes they will see that their beliefs were baseless and flimsy. On that day, regret helps not!

If your parents ask you to disobey the Creator, do not listen to them in that matter only. You are still supposed to listen to them in worldly matters. We enjoined upon humanity to be good to his parents. His mother carried him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents, for unto Me is the final destination. If they strive to make you associate with Me that for which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but still accompany in the world with good conduct. Surat Luqman 31:14:15
