The Spider-Man 2 Update We Should Have Got... 

What would you like to see added to Spider-Man 2? 👀

Ability to choose parry animation for Peter. Symbiote is cool and all but i also want to play with the spider arms

Honestly, I just want them to stabilize what we have right now. The game got so much more glitched after this update and it’s honestly affected my enjoyment of the game in recent times.

Not gonna lie, I wish the underwear suit was in this game. I mean, imagine the part where he rips off the black suit and then he has nothing but his underwear. That would be hilarious.

features we need: Weather changes: Rain, Storm (very windy + lightning) Change peter voice lines (toggle) web color changes: red, blue (just for the symbiote suit color changes) TASM2 lens fix + Homecoming Symbiote suit changer (symbiote rage suit changer so we don't stay in our usual suit but I can go from Tobey Maguire red suit to black if I choose this would also help the awkwardness of some cutscenes) New crimes: Miles Morales helicopter crime, store robbery crimes, small but wholesome crimes (like saving the kids balloon in sm2 ps2) add all suits that had been in previous games (it doesn't matter how many we need its about variety) change tendril colors with suit turn off animation effect on miles suits black webs only on symbiote miles suits ability to change block and counter animations (tendrils or mechanical arms change) venom suit option (we only need one it'd just be cool to have one maybe like the classic highlights because we do play as him once and he is in many cutscenes after becoming the main villain) classic suit for miles (peters suit) (roleplay purpose only) ability to toggle assist characters on and off and who (so at the end of the game I can turn off wraith or maybe put agent venom back on with miles) (also useful for roleplay purpose)

4:00 it sucks because the crimes are majorly downplayed in this game compared to the 2 previous titles. You literally only have to press two buttons in car chases and the crime is over. In the first game you could throw out the enemies shooting at you. Then there’s a qte to slow the car down. Even more enemies pull up to the scene😭 the crimes feel so dull and lifeless in Spider-Man 2

What i want the most for this game is to be able to switch between the regular suit and symbiote suit like on Web of Shadows and this should change the parry as well from the iron arms to the tendrils and the other way around, but especially we should be able to choose which symbiote suit we want to turn into, like if we have a regular suit equipped and the Raimi black suit as the symbiote one pressing the corresponding button would make us transform into that selected symbiote suit, it would be so cool to have this feature.

Another thing they could add back to the game it's small but in new game plus there aren't really symbiote finishers, when we put on the symbiote suit if you know what i mean it's not like when we first play through the game.

People say that we moan too much, we only put out comments hoping they will improve the game. They've listened to our feedback before, so they will again. Great video man, hopefully Insomniac see it.

Let’s be real, it’s going to be a while till we get to play as Venom 😢

Most of the changes on my wish list deal with photo mode. The simple ones are: 1) Bring back the Selfie photo mode option. 2) Toggling on/off webs. 3) Having the ability to add facial expressions without needing to enable custom poses. A more complicated request is having the ability to rewind (1-3 seconds) what has happened and snap a photo from that. I've had plenty of cool things happen while playing and it's annoying to try and re-create it just for a photo.

Changing the weather does NOTHING for replayability. How about Combat Challenges like the arkham games where you can fight waves of enemies in the raft. Swinging challenges. Boss rush now that the bosses are actually amazing. Permadeath mode. A new difficulty. Things that actually put the games symtem into use. Not things like weather change which would be nice but it didnt do anything for replayabilty for Miles Morales. Challenge maps and Actual engaging side content would help this game be massive.

They should definitely add a “toggle up on the D-pad” button for Peter allowing us to swap between symbiote suits. Miles has that function (invisibility) AND he has his L3+R3 function.

Three things, the unddie suit from the first game is the 100% reward for the normal game without being ng+, and the entire dlc list is all leaked, and three the previous suit were supposed to be in the game but where cut due to 19 inches of speedrunning

I mean if you want proof the update was rushed, the tendril setting screws with the Symbiote Surge, old bugs like crimes disappearing still persist, yhe way the implemented the day and night cycle was just by taking the Mysterium glitch and putting it in the menu so all the oddities that came with it still exist, and other features that should have been here like letting us toggle the weather, having Peter show up while playing as Miles and other things. We waited 5 months for something that clearly took no more than one month.

Imagine if we actually got these features 😲

I only really want to be able to choose the suit that you change into in symbiote surge, and an option to change suits whenever, like symbiote surge without the boost and cooldown etc, just cosmetics

The Insomniac Games Breach really held Insomniac back and even canceled promising games after leaks and trailer leaks even the multiplayer Spiderman got canceled because of the data breach so I really feel like it held them back so much they really didn't have any time to put a lot of these features or features fans wanted.

Also, give us the ability to switch from normal suit to symbiote suit Heck, you can even do that for the iron spider suits 😂

They should've also given the option to toggle The surge suit on or off when activating it. 😮‍💨 I also think they should finish refining this game that they failed to deliver on fully. Especially before they move on to any other project.

I want them to like make a toggle thing where Peter can have the symboite on all the time just like a few missions

I seen someone say something AMAZING like having Super villains pop up as crimes randomly. Like chasing vulture through the city or just getting into a a 1v1 with rhino on the street. Sadly they fed Kraven all of the sinister 6 just for Kraven to die at the hands of Venom..... sad thinking about what could have been

Being able to toggle between only mech arms, only symbiote, or mix for parrying, air boost&jump, and combat finishers/takedowns so that way when you want to RP classic Spidey, or Iron spidey, and superior spidey you can and vice versa with symbiote suits.

We need to be able to toggle on and off the different finishers peter uses. If Im playing symbiote or just regular spider-man I dont wanna be using the spider arms

Stabilize what we've got and add toggle for the Surge Mode transformation. I wanna wreck people as Superior Venom damnit. Or as close as we can get. I wanna show Harry that he's definitely the Inferior Venom. Also, I want to transform in Surge Mode while wearing the respective movie suits like TASM2 and the "Final" MCU suit.

Would be nice if the symbiote surge was increased with each KO and also a more customizable UI

I think they should add flight to the iron spider suit. It can control like gliding but just infinitely go no matter the momentum you’ve built.

They should do something with the avengers tower in a dlc or the 3rd game. Like an alarm is going off and spiderman has to check it and it's Friday, Nick fury or an avenger and tells spiderman about a crime and they need him to handle the situation.

DMC style Bloody Palace. I want to be able to fight waves upon waves of enemies while also dealing with bosses occasionally.

The only thing I hate about New Game Plus is the fact that in cut scenes when you change into the symbiote suit it only shows the current skin you are wearing, it ruins the immersion for me. All I wanted was an option or for it to stay the same, other than that I'm happy with the update

I actually want the option to play in symbiote possessed New York in post game. I don't really hear anybody talk about it.

They said it interview about porting suits is very hard for them to do it was after the game launch.

Honestly, I want the option to customize the spider-arms. Because some of the moves, I actually prefer over the symbiote sometimes. But the only issue I have is that the arms are only white UNLESS you equip a suit like the Iron Spider or Spider-Noir which change the color to their respective outfits. Which for people like me who enjoy the MCU Iron Spider, it's amazing and not a problem. But when I wanna go with the Anti Oct suit and the arms are white when I'm wearing this complete black suit... it kinda ruins the mood.

For the first one: honestly, just give Peter the agent venom suit that Harry had. It would be cool to play as that.

I sure would like it if there was an option to make the symbiote colour match your suit. Real annoying having to hop into the settings every time I want to change my symbiote suit from black to white. Also certain symbiote recolours cause a mis-match in web colours, so maybe that too.

The first spider-man game new game plus did not have a suit that suit you put on the screen is for 100 % and it is made to be funny

Another thing that bothers me is that as Miles I can’t find Peter in any crime missions so they should add him as a Ai companion and have wraith fight with us since people get bored of fighting the symbiotes and yes we need new crime missions and base missions that can involve doing stealth with miles or going into combat

Ive had two small bugs in my NG+ playthrough that get to me more than id like to admit. For me my favorite suit of all time is the superior spiderman but in cutscenes the arms change back to white which bugs me. And more annoying is that peter still parrys with the symbiote instead of the arms. The red arms are the whole reason I wear this suit and I barely see the red now😢

Something i would like is a way to disable iron arm finishers bc when im using other suits the Iron arms are so out of place

they should add a way to we change from two preset suits, maybe the could make a way to us chose the surge suit and then after the surge ends the suit continue on peter

And I really wish Peter would get the Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D suit too, so I can match it with Miles’s suit. Definitely want an extra suit slot for Peter so we can pick a symbiote suit for symbiote rage in NG+

@6:43 The web wing colors for miles are mostly always the base red instead of matching with the variant color chosen ex the Brooklyn 2099 miles suit blue variant has the red wings it should match the accent color at least

Im so glad im not the only one about the symbiote crimes its getting anoying its like im not even fighting criminals anymore where spiderman saving the city but not criminals just symbiotes more 💀😭

The parrying is really annoying. when parrying with the advanced 2.0 suit post game it shows tendrils. They have to make it customizable for you to chose

In my opinion I believe one of the best would be to be able to change Miles's default venom colour. Spider jump would be blue and so would spider dash and even venom punch but only for generator's.

Really enjoyed this video because most of these features are exactly what Insomniac need to add into the game. I love Insomniac and Spider-Man 2 is a great game but I feel like they were lacking alot as far as not having features into the game that should've been in the game on launch like new game plus or changing the time of day. And like you said, they already had us informed about DLC in the first Spider-Man game a month after release. I understand Insomniac had problems with the hack and employee layoffs and everything but things like new game plus or something basic like changing the time of day is inexcusable to me. If I have to give Insomniac any advice, I would tell them to listen to us Spider-Man fans, hear our feedback, try your best to add more suggested features in the game, and give us an update or release date on DLC so people can keep playing the game and stay interested. And to learn from the mistakes from this game so Spider-Man 3 can be better. And I don't know if this is true or not but I heard Sony had some control over Insomniac when it came down to the release of Spider-Man 2. I honestly feel like if Sony didn't rush Insomniac to release the game then I'm sure there would've been soooo many things added and changed as far as gameplay and story. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's just what I heard.

I want all previous suits, because other than the symbiote suit I don't really care for any of Peter's suits. Same with miles, it's hard to pick a suit because there's not any I really like unlike the first 2 games

About DLC, it's not just the leaks, but the Sony lay-offs too. Most of Insomniac's people have been fired, so I don't think they really _can_ work on DLC right now (let's just hope whoever they bring in now is more competent than the work for hire they had until now especially in the "ideas" department....)

there should've been a feature to change the parry animations for Peter. I want to parry with the iron spider legs when I use the Advanced 2.0 suit. Maybe swapping the colour of electricity when parrying as Miles as well

The update is great but the new game + rem9ves peter symbiote black suit rage mode and it only uses the suit you are wearing which should be able to change manually if you want it certain ways
