It was great to work together with Jacob and being part of the Kickstarter release was the ultimate way to collab. I think the comment was not so rong, there is definitely a "bard's craft style" that differentiate this chanel from other! I think that we can say that your chanel is about making things simple, not simplistic. And that is a great quality! Keep on! (love the stone color for this one👌)
Ps1 graphic of terrain making? Dude you do good work, dont let anyone tell you differently, i love them all and even used a few designs similar to yours for my dnd campaigns
I love your work so much Lukas, you're my favorite source of inspiration! Actually my style in crafting is much more "realistic", I use less vibrant colors (and less color in general), measure much more and do my best to be precise, but I can't get enough of these "magical" style crafts of yours. It's the contrast to mine I love most, and the boldness of your crafting, you inspire me to try new things always, and to just go with some gut feeling that "this'll be good in the end" and not overthink stuff. Always looking forward to your next craft, best wishes from Hungary! :)
"If you like prefection thats fine, even admirable. But consider also making things good enough. This will leave room for greater responsibilities than toys. " Thats Shakespeare for you alright 👌
If you get some quite sticky glue, that will string when you pull it, you can make webs out of that. You can also use it to make saliva on miniatures and strings of blood off of weapons
the "ps1 style" comment was quite mean to me, but i'm sure the commenter didn't mean it that way. i personally don't think Bard's Craft has ps1 style painting. i love the way he makes everything so vibrant even with dark colors. his overall crafting style is so inspiring, he doesn't use much expensive stuff and makes almost everything from scratch and rubbish. it's really inspiring to me as i can't afford many of the tools the youtube crafters have and Lukas has just made me realize that crafting doesn't need to be expensive. thanks to Lukas, i have started crafting and has taken it up as a hobby and my god is it so therapeutic. it's the times when i craft that i have great moments of peace and even if i make a mistake, i get frustrated a bit but can find ways for it to work or just accept it as it is (just like Lukas does). it's been a while since you've made another video man. i hope you're doing great in life and would love to see more of your projects. if you don't want to make any more, it's perfectly fine. i can just keep watching and rewatching every single one of your videos.
Great look, Lukas! Another thing that makes great spider webs is dryer sheets. Stretching them apart makes great looking spider webs, and they are quite strong, too. Love your terrain builds!!! Keep them coming!!!
I saw another channel take cheap stretchable webs for Halloween decorations, strengthen them with either varnish or glue, and they became strong enough to support the weight of minis and withstand play, that's another option
Making things look good for gaming with the simplest solutions is I think a different "science" from making realistic looking display pieces. In gaming terrain Lucas, you are one of the bests! And you make great content, which the whole thing is really about.
@H0T-Vlog Go to My Channel what the heck is up with these guys? Fake accounts only 2 weeks old? No videos? Just have a link? Copy and paste comments? Smells like a scam to me.
Just wow! This is just madness! I wish I had half of your imagination to create such an ambience!! I don't know how I found your channel, but I'm glad I did.
Your terrain always looks great to me. Hey, if you like your finished terrain, then that's best for you. If other people like it also, that's even better, but your own satisfaction with your terrain is the most important opinion.
I'm not a big fan of miniature and diorama but ever since I first saw your video it made me love them... The first video I watch was your ruined windmill.... I got goosebumps watching that video. I hope you keep it up. 😊 And thank you for the inspiration. ❤️
Excellent job. That turned out so spooky and cool. I don’t know what that PS1 graphics comment was supposed to mean, (I never had a PS1 or any playstation even), but I know that I’m always impressed with how cool your terrain projects are. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Awesome build ! I think l will build my own spider lair , l got a spider skeleton a few years ago , now l know what to do with it. Thank you for your instruction and inspiration.
I don't think I've seen before someone making individual web strands like that. It really added a sense of scale - if an individual strand is that thick, how big is the spider that made it? Very worth the time imo.
Is there ever a problem with the oil wash drying? I've painted with oils in the past and it takes a LONG time to dry. Is it something about the spirits that helps?
@@BardsCraft Do you practice WL or just use the olympic barbell for squats and deadlift? It's funny because it's my sport!! not funny "ahah" just funny as coincidence lol
Oh man this is just PERFECT for a encounter that i'm planing, its with a Nightmare Ettercap! I got the mini printable model here if anyone wants it too: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3907071 Anyway! I'm gona challenge you to build a Primal Archon miniature! (from Hordes/Warmachine)
Most of the time(this video is no exception) as you work. I don’t like what you are doing. I’m like that won’t turn out at all. I have ( & am) been wrong most of the time.
